    Asus X299 - Support

Hello, I plan to upgrade my CPU from i9-7900X to i9-10940X, and I’m wondering what I have exactly to do on a X299 Mark 1 with Clover last version. Here is what I have already been able to gather about this. Correct me if I’m wrong. Upgrade to BIOS 2002 and avoid like the plague the last...

Ach so... you mean the cmd utility of Windows ? I understood you were talking about DOS cmd instructions. But I don't have Windows on my hackintosh.

You told me about flash via cmd and not with DOS stuff but FPT is just another tool, no? I found FPTW64 two days ago in "Intel Flash Programming Tool" package and there were also a FPTW32 and a FPT DOS. I have followed this procedure...

Sorry, I've done a lot of research and found nothing about how to flash BIOS with only DOS commands without any tool.

It know, it was explained in my first post addressed to you S1lla, #2,131. I tried in Dos cmd with Afudos and with Flash programming tool, none worked. Before I have extract body of the .cap file with UEFItool to a .rom file. It's very strange because Afudos made the job but after reboot the...

    Asus X299 - Support

Yes here is the origin of my problem ;-) Maybe it would be better if you just tell me the patches concerning MSR Lock then I could add them to my original config.plist. your config.plist is pretty different than mine. I think it's better not changing everything at the same time. In my...

Many thanks tonzone and LeleTuratti. I will try tonzone files first and cross my fingers. I suppose I must remove first ACPI patch: A00A9353 54415301 > A00A910A FF0BFFFF I put before ... or not ? And Above4GDecoding, must stay on or not ? (Sorry I'm just trying things I don't really...

You means replace Aptiomemoryfix by the 3 others or try one by one ? About the link you provide just before, I already checked. I'm not in the same position (not trying to make an USB installer or upgrade to Catalina). I had a working machine in Catalina before, the fault is only on the last...

    Asus X299 - Support

OK thanks I will study that... I thought I had also found a way to go back in BIOS version with this: but finally not. It's really incredible because I see Afudos (a DOS program) erase and re-x-write the CMOS and finally nothing change, Still the same crappy 3006 BIOS.

    Asus X299 - Support

Hi LeleTuratti I receive today and USB to M.2 Nvme adapter. Put my main drive inside (which was working perfectly before the bios update), open config.plist and apply the patch. I tried Patch 1 : find : A00A9353 54415301 replace : A00A910A FF0BFFFF or Patch 2 : find : A00A9353 54415301 replace ...

Above4GDecoding is disabled, and always was on my machine. I have update clover (with multibeast 12, I don't know another way) and now version is 5107. Your version was 5108. I also try with Above4GDecoding enabled. Still same result.

Thanks LeleTuratti for your help. So... - I grab your EFI and put it on an USB Stick - Change IOCPnumber in TSCAdjustReset.kext (you have 12 cores I presume) put it in Kext/Others - Enable 2 USB patchs for Catalina in KextsToPatch (by editing with the config.plistClover configurator) > When I...

Hello lennip, Your Mobo have the USB BIOS Flashback system, so you can easily return to previous BIOS. If you have problems with 802 you can also try with 703 or 603. My Mobo doesn't have the USB BIOS Flashback (Asus TUF X299 Mark2). It seems to be the only Asus MB without this functionality...
