The 'Use font smoothing when available' option is no longer on the General section in System Preferences.
I prefer to have a thin font (not smoothed), so does anyone know if this option can be enabled/disabled by a command line in the terminal?
Everything seems intact and nothing missing (unlike mine).
I guess the next step is to see if the EEPROM's are readable and are correct.
I just noticed that it has a JTAG interface (unpopulated) on the component side. I have test hardware that can read/write and send commands via the JTAG all...
Edit: I've replied to the wrong person! Doh! Sorry, @Junologue. Could you please create some pics that zoom into the three areas circled on the attached picture. I need to see if all components are intact.
I'm in the same boat. I 'killed' a GC-Titan Ridge a year or so...
Thanks, @lambusser for finding this and @CaseySJ for creating the Miniguide. It works a treat. My world is nearly complete! :headbang::clap:
Edit: I forgot to add that powernap works and also my eGPU sleeps and wakes up connected as it should.
Just follow this build by @CasseySJ very carefully. It is a very detailed and complete guide, and you can't go wrong (famous last words). If you do, post back here as there always is someone to help, usually @CaseySJ.
My experience is that you can move the macOS to either M.2 slot. Just make sure when you install Windows, that you remove any other disks including SATA disks as Windows is known to overwrite the wrong EFI partitions. For the SATA disks, if you are using them, you can just disable the Drives in...
Hi @Piero2411 and others that are having these issues.
@lambusser came up with a fix and documented it here but this thread was not updated with the new 'fix'.
I have been using this 'fix' since 1st April, and have not had any problems, but please note that this is not a perfect solution as it...
Sorry for the delay in getting back. I currently have my Vega64 LQ in my build and have the iGPU enabled as headless. I'm using shiki 80. This gives me Netflix in Safari. From memory, I had to enable the iGPU as headless.
My eGPU (with one of my RX580's) does not have to be connected for...
Hi. I use shiki 80. This will allow Netflix to work for n Safari and Sidecar still works. In Sidecar you have to use the Netflix app due to DRM. See my post here.
Don’t forget to update your build info.
Just a hands-up to let you know that I have tested ThunderBolt Bridge between my Designare (inbuilt TB3) and MacbookPro15,2 (13" 2019 4 TB Ports).
Tested okay on both Designare TB ports as a TB3 <-> TB3 Bridge;
Tested file-sharing via SMB. (Note: sometimes it will not...
Yes, you do have to attach the cable to a USB port. If you don't, Bluetooth will not work.
Make sure you also load the DESIGNARE-Z390-NO-CNVW.aml by copying it to the CLOVER/ACPI/patched folder on the EFI partition.
See the Recommended WiFi/BT Wireless Cards section in post 1...
Did a bit of R&D and I'm now running shikigva=80 instead of 16 or 30. This allows me to run both my RX 580 and iGPU in headless mode and allows Safari on the iMac to display Netflix without any extensions etc.
At the same time I can use my iPad Pro as Sidecar, which would only...
I can confirm that these TB3 components are working with the internal TB3 ports that I have upgraded the onboard firmware using the DESIGNARE-Z390-NVM33-Elias64Fr.bin.

Hi @CaseySJ. The problem is the UPS power demon mistakes the Corsair Commander Pro as a UPS Irrespective of whether the USB port HS11/12 is mapped as internal 255 or deleted.
As to why this demon or its parent process is matching only Apple knows. It’s obviously not matching against...
