    [Guide] Lenovo ThinkPad T440S

Ran the 10.4.14 updater from Software Update. Took over an hour to complete but seemed to complete ok. I rebuilt the kextcache with sudo kextcache -i / Next I ran the latest Clover installer to update it, but I went with the default options. Now I don't have any sound from the laptop...

    [Guide] Lenovo ThinkPad T440S

@RehabMan Finally managed to get this, sorry it took so long. I had to wait a few days for the problem to reoccur so I could capture the problem reporting files. When it did the laptop had been online for more than a day so gen_debug was refusing to export the files as the Clover captures were...

    [Guide] Lenovo ThinkPad T440S

Problem reoccurred so I've taken new problem reporting files and attached. The problem is that after the computer has been running for a while (usually longer than a day) some of the items in the Apple menu cease to function: About this Mac Force Quit Sleep Shutdown Restart Lock Screen Log Out...

I'm not sure problem reporting files will help, I don't think it's a driver issue and everything is currently working fine. I'll wait until it happens again and then create the problem reporting files as I restarted last night and everything is currently working perfectly. Thanks

My install seems to have developed a strange problem. After a few days of uptime Shutdown, Restart, Sleep and About This Mac do northing. I can select them from the menu but they have no effect. I thought it might be a menu bar problem though but sudo killall -KILL SystemUIServer doesn't...

Changing the Apple menu logo in top left corner

Seems like no one knows how to do this. I've been looking for where the Apple Menu code might be but havent found it yet. I'm thinking another way to do this would be to edit the system font and change the Apple logo in it to what I want. i believe the system font in Mojave is San Francisco...

Adding a custom boot logo to replace the white apple logo

I've tried a few options from there. When I have the following under the Boot section: <key>CustomLogo</key> <string>\EFI\CLOVER\themes\thinkpad.png</string> Then the logo is displayed on boot, however it's on a grey rather than black background which looks very bad. It...

Changing the Apple menu logo in top left corner

Hi, I want to change the Apple menu logo in the top left corner to something else. I've heard this is not an image but a unicode character. Anyone know where to find it? I'm thinking of changing to an X. I'd also like to change "About this Mac" in the Apple menu to About this PC and I want...

Adding a custom boot logo to replace the white apple logo

Hi, I'm running Mojave on my Thinkpad T440s. This is actually a work computer, but using Windows makes me angry so I've gone to OS X, but I need to be a bit sneaky about it and try to make it look a bit less Apple so no one notices. I've already changed the Finder icon to a yellow folder and...

Thanks for being the pioneer on this update Fobos531 :). I'm a bit confused by your instructions though. You installed the update from Software Update and as it was installing it restarted the machine? What do you mean by "boot into the macOS installer option two times". Do you mean we need...

Hi NadTheVlad. I have my wires the opposite of the picture now yes. So they are going to their closest sockets, and everything seems to be working fine. When they were crossed over the wifi was fine but I had bluetooth problems. However, this might have been because one of the connectors...

USB to VGA Adapter (USB Video Card)

Hi, I have a couple of cheap FrescoLogic USB-VGA adapters I got on ebay for about $15, but I believe they don't work with OS X Mojave unless anyone knows better? https://support.frescologic.com/portal/kb/articles/fl2000-mac-driver-beta-release Product ID: 0x2000 Vendor ID: 0x1d5c (Fresco...

Hi, I've attached problem reporting files taken at the point where VGA and DVI monitors were connected to the dock and identified as a single display both showing the same thing. If it's possible to have these 2 ports recognised as separate displays that would be really helpful. Crash on...

Just working through install now. Trying to use the latest Clover (v2.4k r4722) but the following drivers indicated as required by @Sniki are missing: AppleImageLoader-64 AppleUISupport-64 I've checked under FileVault2 menu and they arent there either. EDIT: I proceeded without the 2 above...

Thanks @RehabMan , So AFPS without Encryption on a GUID partition scheme is the way to go. That's odd about Lilu, I'm pretty sure I got the latest 1.2.7. I'll start from scratch at the weekend :)

Got the installer booting now. Does it matter which filesystem I use? Can I used APFS Encrypted? GUID or MBR? Also can I install to and boot from an external usb3 drive? I'm getting an error with Kextcache when I try to install the extensions into L/E. Im going to remove the extensions which...

Thanks @RehabMan, I see my mistake now. on the mac I installed Clover to the main (not EFI) partition of the USB stick. I'll mount the EFI partition, Install Clover, copy the kexts and driver, and should be good.
