[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

Hi guys, lately I'm having some bad problems with my xps (random reboots, kernel panic every time I connect HDMI through usb c). So I'm planning to move back to Windows or linux since I don't work with ios anymore. Anyone know if it is necessary to revert dvmt allocation?

I have WhateverGreen 1.4.0 and AppleALC 1.5.0. Those should be latest versions, but right now github is down so I can't check. I will try using layout id 13, thanks! Are you using only kext + layout id 13 or you're using also ComboJack? PS: I have added AppleBacklightFixup.kext and now...

Hi guys, I upgraded from Mojave to Catalina and nearly everything seems to work. I am having only 2/3 issue: - screen brightness is at 100% and I can't change it at all (not even visible in the system pref pane), while it was working (even with fn buttons) with mojave - audio jack not working...

My values are nearly identical to Richylitschy 's values in the screenshot attached in the GitHub issue I've linked in the past days... I haven't compiled anything anyway. Just took the aml file and putted in the EFI/CLOVER folder replacing the old one, invalidated kext cache (don't think it's...

After testing a little bit... THANKS. I can finally use my xps for work, power consumption is super low. I changed the aml file as suggested here and everything is working like a charm :)

Hey man, since I finally fixed my xps13 (i5 7200u like yours) could you maybe share your config to get such battery time? I am using files from the-darkvoid repo, with its CPUFriend kexts and still I get 3h...Everything is totally messed up as you can see in the screenshot...

Based on what I'm seeing it seems like not a single kext is loaded... Need to investigate but right now I need to do other stuff

Wow, 60$? I bought mine from ebay (italy) for less than 30 euro. Anyway since I totally broken my build and I don't want to fix it (was an android+iOS dev, now I dropped on iOS so I won't need macOS anymore) I can sell you my card if shipping costs are convenient. If you are interested drop a DM :)

Since I'm using it for ios development... I would avoid it. Latest iOS version needs latest Xcode version, which needs latest macOS version... Which means you need to constantly update your hackintosh (and updating hackintosh can be dangerous, for example mine is broken right now, while other...

what have you done in order to update? I can't boot anymore... I tried updating clover but now everything is ****ed, maybe I'll just restart from scratch since the disk itself was nearly empty Edit: managed to get something back, at least I can read log again. Now I'm getting "[IGPU] Hash data...

The only required hw mod is changing the network card (you need to buy a dw1560). Anyway you can just use an external wireless adapter, so hw mod is not mandatory

nope, I'm totally noob about these things. I can barely reach 3 hours watching netflix (pc connected to an external monitor through type c adapter, maybe there's something ****ed up so I need to test directly on the laptop monitor)... And yes, I'm using cpufriend with idle fix. I will need to...

I suggest you to use Repo instead of Data and put eveything (even BrcmPatchRAM2.kext) inside /L/E. Based on rehabman bitbucket this is more memory efficent. Maybe it can help you fixing your problem (I have DW1560 too and I can pair bt headphones without any issue). I followed this video from a...

BrcmFirmwareRepo must be putted inside LE, not EFI. If you want to use EFI you must use BrcmFirmwareData. Never use both, only Repo OR Data. Info are available in the birtbucket repo (rehabman)
