I got tired of buying Apple hardware and all of the specs were outdated with the current software on the market. I got tired of paying 3X the amount for 1/4 the machine. Durability is nice...but I'd like to be able to play the latest games and encode video with decent performance.
How did you install the usb ports and audio plugs to the back panel? Did you make your own cables? Or is there something out there one can buy? I've been working on a solution for this with my G5 case for a while now.
I ended up not needing to install NULLCPUPowerManagement. Not sure why it was acting "quirky" in the first place. Works fine now. Was able to install Windows and El Capitan UEFI to dual boot. Have to do a little tweaking, as after I boot windows and "restart", windows boot...
I did earlier this week. Used UEFI. Everything works fine if you run the guide.
I had to additionally install NullCPUPowerManagement kext from Yosemite Multibeast...but that was the only additional thing. Haven't tried out sound yet, though it works with my 24" Cinema Display, so I...
Do you have the NVidia Web drivers installed? Or are you booting from scratch?
If you're booting from scratch, you need to put "nv_disable=1" in the boot flags. I have the same card and doing those two things (not necessarily in that order) has everything working fine, for me.
I got my audio working. Was a simple fix. In your org.chameleon.Boot.plist, just add:
Worked like a charm!
I also updated to 10.10.3 using the autoupdate in the App Store with no problem!
Two issues wih the upgrade to 10.10.2 for me.
With kernelcache enabled, my boot screen would hang and I'd have the "waiting on root" line when viewings verbose. Disabling that fixed that problem.
Second....ALC 898 codec doesn't seem to be working for me. Not an uncommon problem as a...
I had no problem getting Yosemite up and running. It was pretty flawless, actually. I had no trouble with FakeSMC. Audio is working, bluetooth....etc.
My only problem is the Wifi. I've done the installation process (I'm doing a clean install), but am having problems getting it working...
I did the 10.8.5 update and ran into some hiccups. It first got hung up on the HDAenabler. But going back and reinstalling with an updated version of Chimera seemed to fix that.....then, there was the issue with the Bluetooth (even though it was working fine for me in previous versions). It...
So, I upgraded Chimera the other day to 2.xxx (tried 2.1 and 2.2), and will get the boot screen. After that loads, the screen goes black and that's it! My system is running, because I can hear the sound effects when I change the volume settings...just the video isn't picking up.
I got my LG Bluray player working...somewhat. It loads and mounts the disc, I can rip from it, the eject button works...but now when I load a Video DVD into the drive, DVD player says the copyright protection cannot be verified and it forces me to quit. Any thoughts on this?
