It seems I found a stable solution resembling the methods mentioned, but using the original IO80211Family kext.
I have the DW1820A with the 14e4,43a3.
These are the steps:
- copy to desktop and then remove the kext from /S/L/E
- show package contents, remove the kexts from the Plugin folder that...
What laptop do you have? I also have this intel 630/GTX 1060 mobile combination on my Acer Predator G3-572.
Any success? For me the card doesn't get recognised at all and I am unable to get it to load, also not with intel stuff disabled. I tried desktop 1060 guides, NVenabler and a few options...
I know this is an old post but thought I gave a hint that might help some people.
I'm trying to install High Sierra on an Asus N55SF with this same CPU.
I got a kernel panic when using the standard MacBookPro8,1 for SMBIOS in my config.plist.
Although that looks like a fit for the hardware I...
I used :
works like a charm. Like many, I have a lack of time, if I have some I will look into the prefpane not loading issue.
Thanks for help and thanks RehabMan once again for an awesome tool...
Thanks, that worked :). I found:
ioio -s ApplePS2ALPSGlidePoint Clicking 1
I didn't but I couldn't find where 'service' name was and I didn't see hints in the Info.plist either.
Anyway, happy with this, I'll script it up.
I am running 10.12.4 and I think a ported driver from you RehabMan...
Can you explain how you learned how to use that servicname and option?
I looked in the info.plist as RehabMan suggested, but I don't see any options that make sense.
I have a Dell E6430 with an ALPS driver, so when I type the command I get:
No service matching "ApplePS2SynapticsTouchPad"...
I updated my HP ProBook 6460b and after the first boot the keyboard and mouse stopped working after a few seconds. Second boot same thing. I had an external mouse and shut it off.
To my surprise the 3rd boot it was working again.
All other things still work, still some minor graphic glitches...
I redid the whole thing, just removed the existing kernel cache because of the error.
After the first reboot there was no battery and audio, on the second it was.
I needed to replace all I had including the plist.
So you're right, basically just follow every step of the guide :).
There was no...
Hi, I am not sure if I understand. I followed pretty much the whole guide, except for replacing that part.
Checked the audio notes, etc.
I tried it and then I had no audio and no battery (so went back to the current ACPI/patched and just got audio not working).
Is it not anything else from the...
iampro1227 : please check the guide from Rehabman. The config.plist for your model should be working, check the links I posted on where it should be and please leave this post for the original question.
RehabMan, I have simply added the comfig.plist regarding AppleHDA to my existing, compared...
Thank you for your quick reply!
I mean AML files :).
Ah, I missed the relation between the two.
I do understand if every entry needs an AML file match or if it can be in less files.
I'll spend some time to reread and see if I can make it work.
Do you if there is any interest to pickup the...
First of all thanks for the great forum, especially to Rehabman for all his great work, tools and help.
I have a ProBook 6460b, i3-2310M, 8GB, intel only video and 1366x768 screen, with Clover UEFI.
10.11 ran pretty well, with the regular issues.
I decided to upgrade to Sierra after...
