    Intel NUC 10 Frost Canyon

Well not much yet, the only method I know so far to have a better TB functionality and unfortunately I haven't been able to try patching the firmware myself. I've been having even more work due to COVID and has rendered all my fiddling time gone :( as you can see I am barely active these days...

    Gigabyte X299X - Catalina Support

I have tried having two TB controllers (I actually tried 3) on the board and it worked no probs, but of course I firmware flashed both (on board and Titan Ridge PCIe AIC cards) with custom CR8, with 0, 1 and 2 bus for the OS to recognize the controllers, besides I had to jump wire pins 3 and 5...

    Intel NUC 10 Frost Canyon

Hi guys, I think we could see support for our 10th gen on current Catalina but only with a special build, since the new iMacs came out, I'm sure there is a special build for those including full support for the 10th gen CPU's. We might be able to download a new 10.15.6 build version within few...

How are you migrating to 0.5.9? Many users make the mistake of migrating copy/paste all of their EFI files and that's an error (don't know if that's your case), OC .plist should be the one provided with OC build, OpenRuntime should also match OC version, otherwise you'll get errors at boot...

    X299 - Open Core support

It seems your .plist is either incomplete or not compatible with OC version you are trying to run. I would download the latest release (not a compiled 0.6.0), open both .plist with ProperTree and compare.. The fact that your OpneRuntime is r10 and you need r11 points to a wrong .plist and...

I have, I just haven't had much time for messing around, it works as it is so far, only thing remaining where correct USB speed detection through TB port, without proper FW flash things are a little harder for me right now.

TB hotplug works with my SSDT, the thing is that I would like total compatibility like on my other rig, TB ethernet works, HP works, all devices can connect (except antelope audio cards) and it seems quicker and more stable.. Firmware modding is the way to go unfortunately lol

eGPU won't work unless the firmware of the TB controller is correctly patched, so far I haven't had time to understand how it works or how can I modify it correctly, It's a normal behaviour

    Intel NUC 10 Frost Canyon

Ok, so I was messing without checking my entire disk (I already had latest set of kext to go with).. I had an instance of AppleALC I was modifying in the system folder, thats why it wasn't properly loading, I really can't remember what was I messing around with to have a kext in that location...

    Intel NUC 10 Frost Canyon

Hello @zavrus I have tried your kext but unfortunately results are not good, I totally lose all audio output devices, besides it recognizes audio device as HDAS in IOReg instead of HDEF which is how AppleALC renames devices. I'm using alcid=28, so no joy here. Perhaps there is something you...

    Gigabyte X299X - Catalina Support

And that is why you have the BIOS error, two bootloaders. I'm gonna give you a little tip, if you have another Apple OS computer, then you should remove your EFI from your main drive on your X299X build (completely delete what's inside your EFI folder, not the partition itself. To check...

Have you followed @CaseySJ guide on thunderbolt DROM..? Might have missed something, I get no such errors at boot. I certainly did have problems in the beginning, check previous post, it sums the issues as best I could What firmware have you used? Did you follow the CRC8 guide to the point...

    Gigabyte X299X - Catalina Support

Everything related to BIOS corruption/reset/french language and what not, is mostly due to: Bad BIOS config. Go through the painful process of configuring your BIOS. Dual boot detected while trying to use OC or clover. Try to remove any other boot device, e.g. USB with bootloader, other...

    Intel NUC 10 Frost Canyon

I honestly haven't even done anything regarding BIOS update, I know they are pretty banged up after the ARM slash, so I'll just patiently wait for a final stable release to upgrade to... I also want to get this done, so I'll give it a go too, hopefully the more people the merrier.. Where did...

I think I might know what is going on with our audio, here is a link. I've tried the patch and devices would come up, but still was a no go.

    Gigabyte X299X - Catalina Support

@tutu13 , to answer your questions all I can say is that almost any board can be used for a hackintosh, it all comes down to your skills, well, more your reading and comprehension skills. Everyone starts at the bottom and learns as they go. I think you should go with whatever hardware you fancy...

You should be good to go with the files provided... Let's see: Thunderbolt 255 PCI - LS=0x7043 LC=0x0040 SS=0x0050 SC=0x0008 PMCSR=0x0000... Are you using SSDT-RTC0.aml from first post? [PCI configuration end, bridge 19, device 125] Are you on OC? Have you enabled Aboge4G decoding in BIOS...

    Intel NUC 10 Frost Canyon

There is a bit of different respect my results but I would perhaps say this might be chip binning, our configurations are I'd say more or less the same, but the results shown with NUC8 I'd say are mostly fake. I highly doubt an 8 thread would perform almost three time faster than a 12 thread...

I only mentioned because I was having issues going to sleep with the kext in my EFI, as soon as I removed it they were gone. What version of Geekbench are you trying?
