Really frustrated, my Z390 Designare wakes up usually after 1 hour from sleep.
I'm using the OpenCore guide here, didn't touch the EFI but replace the Generic Serial.
Getting wake reason:
Wake reason: RTC XDCI CNVW USBW (User)
seems like a USB issue. I believe maybe the Broadcom...
My sleep is really not stable, my hack wakes up after 1 hour.
When running logs i'm getting this message:
AppleACPIPlatformPower Wake reason: RTC XDCI CNVW USBW (User)
I removed the WiFi module from the board, WiFi is disabled on BIOS.
What can cause this?
Managed to get more info on the wake issues
Wake from Normal Sleep [CDNVA] : due to XDCI CNVW USBW/User Using AC (Charge:0%)
these are all my wakes. seems like its the Wifi module? (its disabled in the bios).
could it be my broadcom bluetooth module connected to HS11?
Hey, I Unlocked MSR 0xE2, thought it would help and disabled opencore's cfg lock quirks.
The Sleep works for about 1-2 Hours then wakes up.
Only connected USB Devices are mouse, keyboard.
I didn't try 0-SSDT-RTC0.aml, could it help?
Added activity monitor screenshot.
@CaseySJ Hey again :)
I'm running the latest OpenCore 0.5.8 EFI. and I'm experiencing Wake ups. My hack doesn't reliably sleep. How would you approach this issue? What are the common solutions?
@CaseySJ here is the WiFi kext - https://github.com/AppleIntelWifi/adapter
Device log for our motherboard - https://github.com/AppleIntelWifi/device-logs/issues/1
Promising progress. Regarding the bluetooth kext, if you own an iPhone, please try importing an image and let us know, Thanks
I did both. the UIAC disables the HS14 port that the builtin Bluetooth uses, so I had to disable it. I removed both UIAC and the CNVI disable. USBInjectAll seems to work fine but I didn't check sleep yet
Hey Casey, Did you try https://github.com/zxystd/IntelBluetoothFirmware
with the preinstalled CNVi Intel card? I wonder If it works, there's also progress on the WIFi side in terms of finding networks.
@CaseySJ I just tried the 0.5.7 Microguide on my current machine, it didn't boot!
It hangs on Apple logo. All I did was change the Platform info as requested. I reverted back to my own 0.5.7 EFI.
Could be because macOS is already installed with a different config?
Yes, the second port works great aswell (Only with TypeC->DP Adapter, not the dock)
1) Elgato Thunderbolt 3 Dock.
2) DP-In is always connected, otherwise the system crashes.
I believe there is bandwidth issue, do you have a way to make sure there is 40gbps bandwidth? in macOS?
So after testing, I connected a DP to the DP-in.
Hot plugging works with the monitor, running 4k@60hz succesfuly if connected directly through the USB-C -> DP Adapter.
However, IF i connect the mointor to my dock, and the dock to the nearest thunderbolt connection to the HDMI. i'm getting only...
@CaseySJ Does anyone have issue with monitors not waking up from sleep?
Sleep is working fine + Power nap
When I wake the hack, the monitors won't wake, I need to trigger another input from the keyboard or mouse for them to wake up
Security Level - No Security
Thunderbolt USB Support - Enabled
GPIO3 Force Pwr - Enabled
No I didn't, In windows my tests worked just fine, is there additional things I need to do in my hackintosh?
1st Monitor into 5700XT DisplayPort
2nd Monitor into DisplayPort to USBC Adapter to...
