It looks like I probably used r5102-UEFI.
I wish I could say for sure which USB drives I used. I run an IT business and my shop has all sorts of stuff in it, with all sorts of things going on at any one time. My "normal" USB thumb drives I use are Sandisk Ultra Flair (USB 3.0) and Samsung BAR...
I could not find the installer, and the one Catalina installer I do have freezes part way though if I use it to start an installation.
I know I pretty much followed the directions in the post and at least got through the installation, though.
As you can see, I chimed in on post #7 and installed 10.15.4 in the beginning, and updated to 10.15.5. So, yes, the EFI above is a post-install (working) EFI folder.
I think I still have my USB installer, so let me check and if so, I will post that EFI folder.
Thanks for the guide. I inherited an i7-4790S 9030 AIO and with the help of this guide installed Catalina 10.15.4.
Everything works as described in post #1.
The issue I am having is that YouTube videos tend to stutter, then freeze (the audio keeps playing) and soon the browser and then the...
I checked both of mine (both Dell Inspiron 3670 desktops) and one has nothing but FixHPET enabled and it worked. The other had some entries in Devices/Properties to define some audio stuff, but I don't think it is necessary since my other system does not have it and audio is working.
Did you try enabling the FixHPET option in Clover? With that, and the correct layout ID, that might be all you need.
Also, in Hackintool, on the screen that shows all the PCI-e devices, do you see an entry for audio (not an HDMI-connected one)?
I would look at the location that the Extensions report says that AppleHDA is located. You said it wasn't in S/L/E, which is where it SHOULD be. Find it and delete it. Using the Catalina installer you used, you can extract the native AppleHDA.kext as a file and copy to S/L/E and then redo...
No, look in About this Mac (under the Apple menu), then click the System Report button, and then look down under software (I think) and there is an Extensions. It takes a minute to generate the list, but look for AppleHDA and see if it says "Loaded=Yes"
I am by no means an expert, but have had my own trials and tribulations with getting audio to work.
All those "errors" are expected. You will get those when there are kexts that are not signed by Apple or that have been modified. You do see that they each say "allowed", so even though they...
Yes. Just went in to mine and it was asleep. It woke normally, but after about 5 seconds, it rebooted. I cannot say for sure it was due to the supplimental update, as I'm not sure if it woke properly before the update. I have a backup of my drive from before the update, I might test it tomorrow.
Went great here too on my 3rd Dell 3670 DT installed with a fresh 10.15.4 to start, then applied the Supplimental through Software Update. There was a short progress bar for a minute or so, then a reboot. Chose the "-DATA" option from Clover (5107) and about 20 minutes or so, it was done!
I looked more into the link you posted and in the AppleALC section (troubleshooting, in particular) it mentioned if AppleHDA is not loading to try using the FixHPET setting in Clover and guess what? IT WORKED!
Nothing else needed. Just have the current AppleALC, untouched AppleHDA and Lilu...
