3570k and z77 chipset with speedstep activated should be managed natively.
All that i did is run multibeast with, userdsst freedsdt, drivers (video, network), fakeSMC and plugins, evoreboot, and themes.
That made my cpu work natively at 4.5Ghz when needed and most of the time at 1.6Ghz with...
I think ''About this Mac'' is just cosmetic.
For real frequencies, you have to install Hwmonitor.app with FakeSMC and motherboard plugin.
It will show you the real frequency and the multiplicator.

Now it's throttling at x16,x17, x18, x19, x20 and x45 (i don't know how to test all the states

My 3570k on ga z77x d3h is OCing at 4.5Ghz.
The system seems stable with an Antech Kuhler H20,
But something is strange, the geekbench score are low: maximum 10200
The Hwmonitor show 54448Mhz(even after the ivy bridge patch)

The mac osx ML Interface goes twice his normal speed when EIST is disabled.
The spinning wheel at boot screen, the spinning colored circle, all the system is too fast speed to
