    Can't install Clover using Multibeast

    Thanks for being so quick to respond. It says this: Jul 17 21:06:21 Liams-iMac installer[599]: Product archive /Users/liamduffy/Downloads/MultiBeast - El Capitan Edition/ trustLevel=100 Jul 17 21:06:21 Liams-iMac installer[599]...

    Can't install Clover using Multibeast

I used to dual boot Windows / OS X using Chimera, but have had a world of trouble trying to upgrade to El Capitan + Clover. I followed this guide and so far have installed Windows 10 on the first partition and OS X on the second. I can boot into the first through the BIOS and the second through...

    Windows 10 is Now Available

I was finally able to get the upgrade to work. The solution was to set the Windows partition as active, otherwise it wouldn't even begin the process. I also had to ensure that only the USB for the Windows installer was plugged in as the machine rebooted, as the first time it did this caused the...

    Windows 10 is Now Available

So I downloaded the installer and put it onto a USB. Upgrading my current install fails because it supposedly can't determine if Windows can run (probably a GPT + legacy BIOS instead of UEFI problem), and doing a full install fails because I only have a Windows 8 key. I'm far too cheap to pay...

Can I install mavericks on my PC??

Look in the buyers guide, and use the search function to try and find successful builds using that motherboard. Also, the 'compatibility advice' folder is probably a better fit for this sort of question.

    Re-installing windows 8.1 on a Fully working hackintosh 10.10

Pretty sure you'll need to reinstall chimera, Windows will want to mess with the EFI partition unfortunately. Pretty easy thing to do though.

Sabertooth z97 can't load without USB

My guess is that if the unibeast bootloaders are genuinely installed, the wrong partition may be set as active. Here's a good guide to resolving that problem.

clone system onto a new hackintosh or install from scratch?

You're better off going with a fresh install. It will probably boot but aspects of the installation will be specific to the system it was created on. You will find issues that will take longer to resolve than it would've taken to back your files up and restore them to the new machine, if they...

how to make windows usb no bootcamp and no windows computer!!!

Yeah it's a huge pain trying to create a working bootable usb without a windows computer. The boot camp helper will create one for you if you give it an ISO image, but it will only boot in UEFI mode, which means Windows then installs in UEFI mode! Which isn't what you want if you're installing...

Share information between Mac and PC? (on same SSD)

My preferred method would be to use the NTFS (windows) drive for sharing, and install ntfs-3g to enable writing to the drive from OS X. Here's a guide on how to do that. I don't think there's a good way to access HFS drives from Windows, at least not one that's free anyway.

I have a Bluetooth keyboard, need an alternative way to interrupt the bootloader...

So I have a nice slim Apple Wireless keyboard, which unfortunately cannot be used to select the OS in chimera for obvious reasons. I also have an dell usb keyboard which is huge and ugly and I don't really want to have it out all the time. So I'm wondering if there's another way to interrupt the...

'Reboot and Select proper Boot device'

This guide to setup a separate EFI partition worked for me, boots perfectly without the USB stick now. Woo, etc

Yosemite Installation on Asrock z97 extreme4 works perfect with unibeast !

I'd appreciate knowing the steps you went through too, I have the Z97e, and I can't get the Yosemite install to boot on its own without the usb. I'm assuming the UEFI config is pretty similar. *edit* Never mind, sorted now.

'Reboot and Select proper Boot device'

A little cartoon man is talking me through the various functions of the UEFI. I don't know if it's going to be any help but it's certainly adorable.

'Reboot and Select proper Boot device'

Hey Clipper, I'm assuming it's trying to boot from the SSD I installed Yosemite to, as this error occurs when it's the only drive in the system, or if I explicitly choose to boot from it on startup. If the USB is still in the system, then it ignores the order of precedence in the UEFI settings...

'Reboot and Select proper Boot device'

Hey there, I appreciate the suggestion, but I've installed it twice from scratch, and looking through the install guide I can't see anything I've missed. I did come across some advice that suggested I use Clover for UEFI boards, such as this post, but I couldn't get clover to create a bootable...

'Reboot and Select proper Boot device'

Hey there. I selected Chimera 4.0.1 as the bootloader when I ran MultiBeast. Should that not have done the trick?

'Reboot and Select proper Boot device'

Hello chaps. I've installed OS X on a computer I built, using parts from the buyer's guide (ASRock Z97e-ITX/AC, Intel 4690k, Nvidia GTX 760) using unibeast and multibeast and (almost) everything works! However, it won't boot directly from the SSD, instead requiring the USB drive I installed from...
