Will this GPU work? -> Nvidia Quadro K4200

It’s ok. I don’t see much if any difference between this GPU and some of the othe cards I own. It good enough for the software I use for my work - AutoCAD 2018, Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks CS6 and Microsoft Office 365. I can’t get the DP to HDMI audio to work, so I use a Bose Solo 5...

Will my Nvidia Graphics Card work with macOS ? List of Desktop Cards with Native Support

I did something similar but with a couple of second-hand Quadro K600's, which cost me £10 each on ebay. I think these cost around £101 new, if you can find a supplier. The K600 only has 1GB VRAM but they are good enough for some light CAD and Graphics work. The K600 cards have a DVI and a...

Will this GPU work? -> Nvidia Quadro K4200

The Nvidia Quadro K4200 does most definitely work with macOS Mojave and Catalina (10.15.1), using the Apple Drivers. I have one installed in an i5-4440 Z87 system, and it works perfectly with the Sony TV as a display. Here is a screenshot showing the Quadro K4200 in 'About this Mac' and...

Will my Nvidia Graphics Card work with macOS ? List of Desktop Cards with Native Support

The drivers for most if not all of the older Silent/fanless AMD Radeon cards such as the HD 6450 and R5 230 were dropped with the release of Mojave. I have a couple of systems using the HD 6450, but have had to swap out one for an Nvidia GT710 to run anything beyond High Sierra.

Reporting Generic SSD Controller for NVMe

Yes, the 951 is listing as SAMSUNG MZHPV256HDGL-00000, this is a AHCI SATA SSD installed to the built-in x2 NVMe slot on my Gigabyte Z97X-UD5H motherboard The other Samsung 951 (NVMe drive is mounted on a daughter card in a 8/4x PCI-e slot) is also showing but not under the SATA/SATA Express...

Reporting Generic SSD Controller for NVMe

My Samsung NVMe 951 is reporting as an 'Apple SSD Controller' under SATA/SATA Express tab, but is reporting as a 'Generic SSD Controller' under NVMExpress tab in System Information. Probably just cosmetic issue as there is no noticeable degradation of the NVMe drives speed.

    Catalina doesn’t sleep

Sleep is working in Catalina Beta (19A512f) on my iMac1 system. What settings are you running for Hibernation/sleep? Here is a screenshot of the power settings for my system, taken from Hackintool 2.6.9, which is running just fine in Catalina. These settings work for my main Hack whether I...

Catalina Public Beta is Running Smoothly

Just upgraded to macOS Catalina Beta (19A512f). Apple have fixed the issue where apps weren't appearing in Launchpad, time to arrange the mess they left, but at least they fixed the issue.

    Help with Hackintosh Dual Xeon

Install Clover in Legacy mode. On your USB installer it should be on the root of the drive. On your HD it should be in the ESP, but still Legacy.

Catalina Public Beta is Running Smoothly

I noticed the iOS like delete icon/app ability with Launchpad but wasn’t aware of the drag and drop ability, so thanks.

Catalina Public Beta is Running Smoothly

Haswell CPU's have the instruction sets required for Mojave and Catalina. I have been using Haswell or Haswell Refresh CPU's for years. They work with all versions of OSX macOS from Mountain Lion. All you need is a working EFI folder, which I assume you have as you have a 9 series motherboard...

Catalina Public Beta is Running Smoothly

Running Catalina Beta 2 (19A501i) on a spare drive on my main hack (iMac1). Much smoother and running better than the first public beta in my opinion. A number of fixes to the new Music App have been implemented, so it is actually usable with an Apple Music account. New Lilu.kext and...

    [Release] Hackintool v2.8.6

Using Hackintool I exported the PCI Device information, to see what it contained. I ended up with four files: I have been wondering if I can use the pcidevices.plist to populate the 'Devices' > 'Properties' section of my config.plist? Alternatively: Can the pcidevices.dsl be saves as...

That just means your framebuffer is not matching up with your GPU, but the DP ports are working OK.

HP Microserver Gen8 - USB (now working) & Built-in BCM Ethernet non functioning

You can't install/run macOS or any OS from SATA 5 on the HP Microserver. The OS has to be on SATA 1, left hand caddy bay. The other three caddy bays can contain high density HD's, I have one Microserver with 3 x 2TB Western Digital Green HD's and the other with 3 x 3TB WD Red HD's. I recently...

    Help with Hackintosh Dual Xeon

AppleALC.kext is already pathed for your audio codec. You just need to inject the correct Audio Layout ID in your config.plist.
