I tried directly editing the appleintelsklframebuffer driver binary (Find: 764048FF 05
Replace: EB4048FF 05) and disabling the patches from whatevergreen just to end up with a kernel panic. This either simply doesn't work anymore or it doesn't work with whatevergreen.
Are you still holding onto your v510-15ikb? I have the same problem and I know the reason behind this.
It is because we need a 64mb framebuffer for macos to enable higher resolutions.
Our bios is rewrite protected and locked. The only workaround known to me was to use the minstolensize...
No sound comes from speakers after wake. Line out works. Internal speakers start working again when i plug in and plug out the 3.5mm jack. I'm using AppleALC and CodecCommander. I suppose CodecCommanders configuration has to be changed but I have no idea where to start.
Try AppleALC kext, install to clover kexts folder, use boot flag '-alcbeta'. ALC256 is under supported codecs. Inject layout id 13 through config.plist. If your layout differs do a codec dump from linux.
Thanks, I looked over my bios configuration, everything seems correct but I'm uncertain whether intel platform trust technology should be disabled? (right now it's not) Also, I put VoodooTSCSync.kext to CLOVER/kexts/Other since it has allowed others with similar systems boot without cpus=1 but...
Yes, I think so. Attached IOReg and Clover zip.
I installed ApplePS2SmartTouchPad.kext and Realtek RTL8168/8111 kext so now LAN and multi-touch gestures work. Also ordered a BCM94352Z ac wifi+bt card to replace the onboard QCA9377.
Boots fine with cpus=1. I installed FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics.kext and FakePCIID.kext to S/L/E. Then rebooted, rebuilt cache with "sudo kextcache -I /" and booted normally with 0x19160000 ig-platform-id. QE/CI is now enabled and about this Mac properly reports 1536mb vram. Still requires...
After struggling for hours I could finally complete the installation and see the hard drive listed as a boot option in clover. I used the basebinaries clone method to create the usb installer because usb installers created with createinstallmedia would get completely stuck before completion. Now...
