> Pascal card (10xx) with the new driver does not have the problem
On my system (GTX 1070) and the new driver, and I do have the invisible window problem. Just got it on the latest update to Little Snitch as well. Bummer!
nVidia prompted me to update (what a lovely surprise). The update went great, I shut down, installed the 1070, booted great too.
Cinebench: 126.54 fps (!)
but: iBooks still doesn't work. Darn. Still, this is wonderful!
I had this problem, and the following worked for me:
in my working system (pre-upgrade El Cap), I mounted EFI, then copied everything in EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.11 over to 10.12. The next boot worked great, and the Sierra install completed fine.
That's a good question - I just ran Clover Configurator, and from it got a boot log that looks more like what I'm actually booting. I'll look around my system to see where the DCPI boot log is coming from. The thing that's suggesting something odd to me is that the DCPI boot log says I have four...
I re-ran Multibeast, got a different Clover theme, and my Nvidia graphics got all borked (but still no audio), so I'm fairly sure it's the right EFI partition. My only other EFI partition is on an M.2 card, which is a GRUB partition, and I'm not seeing GRUB at boot.
I hope I'm doing this right:
1. Description of audio problem
Motherboard audio not showing up.
2. OS X version/motherboard model/BIOS version/processor/graphics
MacOS X 10.12.2, 16C67/
ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming/
BIOS: 1904 x64 07/05/2016/

I'm in the same boat - ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming motherboard, getting DPCImanager seeing device and codec registered, but Sound prefs not seeing any devices, and System Profiler seeing the Intel HD Audio, but no devices.
I've most recently used Multibeast, checking both the 1150 driver, and the...
Got it working, using this tip:
"Problem 6: You select Nvidia Web Drivers in the menu bar or the Nvidia Driver Manager preference pane but when you restart OS X Default Graphics Driver is checked.
This is caused when your board does not have native NVRAM support such as Gigabyte 100 series...
I'm more-or-less at the same point in my Skylake / ASUS Z170 / GTX 750Ti build. I am using the "new style" of enabling the NVidia drivers, but the card isn't being recognized, so it's in the super-slow flickery mode. Motherboard video was working okay (but with the known graphics glitches). I'll...
Weird - I guess I hadn't tried iBooks lately, but this problem is happening for me, with 10.12.1 and the latest NVidia drivers. Tried resizing, and lots of view options, fullscreen, etc, but nothing seems to help.
Oops - I upgraded to 10.12.1 before waiting for the new Nvidia drivers...is there a way to patch them so they don't check for OS version, or should I just wait for the new drivers?
(EDIT#2 - while waiting for the update, I was able to run without acceleration by booting with nv_disable=1) then...
