Hi, sorry to revive the thread. After reading some threads on how to patch the DVMT, I went into Windows to check my current DVMT and found it to be 128MB. Does this mean I don't have to touch the BIOS?
Wow. Don't know why the spoof plist caused a KP before (maybe because I modified it), but using a fresh plist I finally managed to boot with 1536MB RAM. Thanks a lot for the solution!
Makes me wonder why native KBL worked in 10.13, but not in 10.14...but as long as it doesn't affect...
Tried and same outcome.
Also, sorry about the full files, had to fiddle with the gen_debug script wrongly detecting my internet connection and finally got it working. Attached latest problem reporting files.
Hi. Thanks for the assist. Yes, I actually use MacBookPro14,1 usually but I changed it to 14,3 for some experimentation.
I just ran an untouched config_HD615_620_630_640_650.plist and same outcome - black screen (backlit and functional).
In a previous thread, I attempted to install Mojave on my Clevo N850HP6. This time, I tried once again to upgrade to Mojave from High Sierra, and could get through installation using a faked ig-platform-id (0x12345678).
Unfortunately, I am once again facing the same problems of booting to...
Thanks, but it didn't work (I was using 14,1 in previous configs).
I gave up and went back to High Sierra. WhateverGreen.kext works well in High Sierra with this config:
ig-platform-id: Blank, FakeID: Blank, AAPL,ig-platform-id: 00001b59, device-id: 1b590000
However, I could not get the DP out...
Ok. I set config.plist/Graphics/ig-platform-id=0x591b0000 and config.plist/Devices/FakeID/IntelGFX=0x59168086, which are the defaults in your config, boots to black. Tried commenting out both values (as is default in your config), also boots to black. Again, I can guess that it boots to login...
I have downloaded a fresh copy of your config.plist and discarded old entries in my config according to the new version. Can confirm that backlight is working when booting with blank ig-platform-id (via keyboard) but we are still booting to black with the gIOScreenLockState message.
Sorry for the break in my reply - Mojave decide to corrupt my HDD beyond repair. I have gotten a new SSD and installed a fresh copy on it, which boots when invalid ig-platform-id is used.
However, when trying to switch back to normal ig-platform-id, and later when trying to use...
