Asus Z390 Gaming Plus WiFi, intel hd630, two 4k displays (HDMI and DP). CSM disabled, tried "windows" and "other os". None of the technics work. Clover still can't found any resolution above 1280x1024.
I don't have any experience with any alternatives, so the only thing I can tell - it's ok.
I patched the video connectors, made DSDT for USB ports and replaced wifi-card with the native one.
Since then I have no issues at all.
All updates are smooth.
I confirm the copy-pasted config.plist section for "Asus Prime H370M-Plus, ASUS Prime Z390-A, Asus ROG Strix B360-I, and Coffee Lake CPU" works for Asus TUF Z390M-Pro Gaming. The only minor issue - I have to hot-plug or turn off/on the second (hdmi) display in order to make it work after boot.
Better and simpler: just enable XMP I in BIOS.
MacOS somehow uses XMP data from the memory chips despite of BIOS settings. If there are any differences in memory MHz/timings between BIOS settings and XMP data – this leads to freezes/reboots if you use AptioMemoryFix. So the solution is to set...
