@LisaAlterEgo, wow a wealth of info!
"PciRoot(0)/Pci(0xb,0)" should say "PciRoot(0)/Pci(0x1b,0)" right.
Am injecting kexts and not the audio as you say. Am almost suspecting my microphone now.
Will keep posting my results. Thank you.
@LisaAlterEgo, quick answer is am already using 1.4.9 AppleALC.kext
Clover Configurator has a nice automated feature to download your kexts into the EFI without manually going to github.
I'll read some more of what you wrote. I have used OC and booted but Clover has a lot of momentum/tools...
Did not work for me. No audio after using the provided AppleALC kext. I am using HP6300 10.15.4 with the builtin HD 4000. My CPU is 3770. I am using Macmini6,1
Actually did not follow all the steps exactly. Did an upgrade not a full install. Found kext files in Library/Extensions like AppleALC.kext and Lilu.kext. Took those out and rebuilt kernel cache etc. Removed VoodooHDA.kext and now have audio. Question - how to see clover boot menu from the DP...
Just installing BrcmBluetoothInjector.kext into L/E helped me get an Insignia USB Bluetooth Adapter working. I verified the vendor id and product id were in the plist before using. After reboot, bluetooth was available and could then connect Apple mouse and keyboard.
BTW, this was on latest...
I was wrong about the fix above. Now it is finally fixed. It had to do with Intel MEI. I disabled AMT in the BIOS but should not have. The information that allowed me to fix it was from Rehabman at...
Flickering is fixed. I had put all of my kexts into Clover->kexts->Other originally. Put them into Library->Extensions and the flickering went away. Reenabled graphics acceleration too without issue. Must be FakePCIID.kext or another wasn't loading. Next time there is an issue should use...
Awesome. Thank you BenTheJeepGuy. May I see your config.plist please? Your EFI zipped? But that would mean Safari would be flickering too if mouse is the issue. Tried another mouse and still flickering. The flickering doesn't happen unless I scroll though.
Yep you are right it doesn't. Thank you for putting together the guides. Your guides and this thread is why I obtained an 8300 USFF. The guides and my system do work right now. Am just trying to get my system to be even better. Am using a DP to HDMI adapter. Are others experiencing flickering...
Hi,
Installed 10.13.3 on 8300 USDT and am using HD4000. Looks good except sort of slow booting. The biggest issue is when I run Google Chrome browser there is a lot of flickering. Safari doesn't do this. In chrome I had to start with a command line argument to disable gnu acceleration. Only...
Was skipping the USB install step. With Unibeast tool I was able to install High Sierra 10.13.3. However, HD4000 graphics not too good. Google chrome browser must start w/o graphics acceleration. Google chrome browser flickers. Anyone else have this?
Am trying to hack an 8300 USFF with an I5-3475S CPU. Which SMBIOS should I use? For example 13,1? Clover boot arguments set to verbose and the last thing seen is a panic and an attempt to restart which crashed. BTW, trying to get High Sierra running. I have other hacks that I use.
Guess that is what the issue is since I am using a passive adapter. It looks pretty good at 30Hz but I'll buy a cheap adapter. I did try things like a SW solution called SwitchResX and RDM w/o luck. Thank you all for the excellent feedback.
Thank you. Yes am using 10.13.3. But I saw somewhere where you said that OS X doesn't support HDMI 2.0 yet. And I infer that means it does not support 4K @ 60Hz right? If that is the case then tinkering with FB won't do me any good. I did play with Dayman FB and did not get what I want...
