I am using the Kext files from https://github.com/gnodipac886/MatebookXPro-hackintosh
4K 60Hz works on my Windows 10 partition but I Cannot get 60Hz using Mac Os Catalina. Please help.
I do not even see the option in SwitchResX. I am using a USB-C to HDMI adapter with HDMI 2.0 cable.
I was able to get it working. It was an issue with the range. The range on these mini usbs really suck. I guess they are meant for notebooks not desktops.
I am using a USB cable extender and it seemed to fix the issue - looks messy though :|

It's weird because the device ID for the 7950 is in the AMD7000Controller.kext. Also when I boot into safe mode, About this Mac sees the card!! and I get full resolution just crappy performance
Why are you confused? In this post you said you replace the kext with your device id. my device id is:
0x679A1002 HD 7950
So If I put my device ID in the kext it will work?
yes! not the iGPU..my monitor only supports the 7950 due to dual-link DVI so yes only using the 7950. Perhaps I need to install the kexts as you put the 7950's device ID into it? If this doesn't fix it I will go out and buy a GTX 760
