That option is disabled. So when I upgraded to the required Bios version on our MOB (7D25v17 -- for the 13th gen compatibility), it adds a couple of options in the pcie-sub system settings. Ill attach a picture below.

I'm trying to upgrade my CPU after looking at that geekbench score.
I upgraded my MOB BIOS to the v17 recommended for gen13 and can't get it to boot past the Apple screen. What BIOS settings are you using?

It looks like that setting adjusts the voltage, so I think maybe it's some differences in our CPU manufacturing / power supply and, or other hardware.
Thanks for the reply and explanation. I went ahead and bought a PCIE4 card expansion after spending a few hours last night tweaking the BIOS settings with no avail. Its pulling gen4 speeds :headbang: and two GEN4 nvmes are perfect for my purposes.

I just bought a new 4tb NVME drive to add some storage and tested all my slots. It's looking like I only get GEN4 NVME speeds on slot 1. All my other slots are capped at 1500mb/s. Wanted to see if anyone else had this problem?
