Thanks for the info. If I were to go with a new build with the 12900ks, I would use Gigabyte Z690 Aero G on an older BIOS and use the Titan Ridge card. Seems like the easiest path. That said, both of those latter products may be hard to source in Europe.

I am thinknig of doing this build, and I was curious if there was another Motherboard that has an on-board Thunderbolt controller? That could be used with the EFIs here. Or is it better to stick with the add-on card option?

Hey @CaseySJ Yes I did use an OpenCore EFI folder from this thread. I have "SSDT-TB3-HackinDROM.aml" and "SSDT-Z390-"DESIGNARE-TB3HP-V4.aml" in the OpenCore folder, however when I go to the System Report Thunderbolt/USB 4 it says No Drivers Are Loaded
