Ultimately I ended up formatting the new drive and installing OS X to the drive using recovery. I was given the option to transfer settings from the main drive and that worked resolving the issue. Following install I used clover configurator to copy my efi contents from the original drive to the...
Unfortunately guest account is not enabled. I’ve purchased a second drive this morning and I plan on doing a fresh install on the new drive and then eventually using the current drive as a backup once I reformat and prove it is sound. Being as that I already have a working Clover config I’ve...
Thanks for the tip, but unfortunately reinstalling did not fix the issue. I noticed that my post is categorized under installation when it shouldn’t be. Being a moderator, are you able to move it. I only saw the desktop support portion of the topic on mobile.
I’ve been using High Sierra for quite some time. Today I had an issue where some apps were taking a while to respond. I had trouble shutting down so ultimately I used the restart button on my computer. Now my system freezes directly following login.
I enter my password it acts like it’s...
I managed to get things resolved using an old bootable usb with sierra on it. Had to enable Intel graphics since my new Geforce wouldn't work without the web drivers.
I’ve been trying to backup the current EFI direct with the “mv” command and then copy the backup over with “cp -r” but things get hung up, overnight, on “CLOVER\misc”
I updated my Clover install incorrectly and am wondering if I can restore from EFI-Backups folder via the shell.
I’m able to mount the EFI drive and the OSX drive where the backup folder is.
I’m just wondering what items I need to copy over and what shell commands I might use to do so?
Much...
I updated to 387.10.10.10.25.161, the WindowServer memory is staying between 1.5 and 3 gb, which is much better than the 50+ previous.
I am having new issues with Adobe apps. Photoshop doesn't repaint when adjustment laters and other similar changes are made. They only appear if you force a...
I am however having issues with Adobe apps. For instance Photoshop often doesn't refresh your design until you zoom or do some other redraw action. So you'll do an adjustment layer and nothing will change.
I've been running 161 for a few days now. WindowServer memory stays around 1.5 - 3gb, but that is nothing compared to the 50+ gb that was common previously. It goes up and down as well, so it's definitely releasing memory.
I finally got things working by borrowing another Mac and making a Clover Bootable USB. Then I booted from that and updated my Clover installation on my main EFI partition.
Following, I also installed Sierra on the USB so I can use to troubleshoot in the future, should the need arrive.
How can I tell if a Clover installation was installed as Legacy or UEFI from the terminals, or a secondary Mac with access to a copy of EFI folder.
Thanks for any help.
Thanks, that sounds like the issue, but unfortunately the solutions have not worked for me. I've moved the discussion there and added what I've tried thus far:

I've decided to try a different route, but no matter what I try I get caught up not knowing little bits and pieces.
I'm working from the Recovery HD which has it's limitations.
I load the Recovery HD and load terminal from the Utilities menu. From there I load Safari...
