All is well! Updated to OC 0.8.4 prior to the 12.6 update and pulled 12.6 from the app store because Monterey 12.5 would not see the update. Took multiple reboots and about 20 mins. As a bonus, system updates seem to be working correctly now.

Thanks, it IS possible to download Monterey 12.6 direct from the app store. I will go back and look at the OC config.plist. Any ideas on where to focus? My best guess is the PlatformInfo section. Thanks again.

Did you ever figure this out? I am having the same issue. Intermittently a shutdown or reboot will hang the motherboard to the point where the reset button has no effect and I have to power off/on. Doesn't do it consistently, usually only on 2nd or 3rd reboot.
