    Battery life (SSD)

What estimated battery life do you get in battery monitor in macOS and what wattage does it use at idol? I used to have a 7390 that would idle at 5 or 6 watts and say 10hrs remaining but I can't seem to get the 7400 anywhere near that, granted it has a bigger screen etc

    Battery life (SSD)

My current hackintosh is a Dell Latitude 7400 dual boot Windows 11 & Ventura, I came across another 7400 going cheap so I bought it to sell on for profit. I noticed that the 'new' 7400 would max out with an estimated battery time of 1day 5 hours in windows (reduced brightness, battery saver on...

Your EFI looks to have too many files in the Drivers & ACPI folders, I'd revisit the Dortania guide and read again

    Elitebook 840 G4 i7 - Need help

I don't know if I went about it the correct way (I'm no expert!) but I created a boot sequence in BIOS to boot to my open core EFI on internal SSD (assuming you have copied the EFI folder from your installer flash drive to the internal SSD). If I boot windows from the open core menu it causes...

Wifi card for Y530 Legion (Lenovo) - for Ventura

Thanks, there seems to be an issue with BCM94360NG drivers for windows, I've tried the drivers you linked and system locks up after about 20 seconds, seems to be a known issue, might have to stick to usb wifi in windows! :-X

Wifi card for Y530 Legion (Lenovo) - for Ventura

I don't suppose you know how to get it to work with windows 11? I'm dual booting, only really so I can provide tech support to my parents over the phone when they need it! It would be nice to not have to use USB wifi dongle in Windows

    [Success] Lenovo ThinkPad L380 - OC - Monterey 12.3

That sounds like a nice upgrade! I don't know if this helps at all - as already said, I find that battery performance from the Lenovo is poor until it has been put to sleep and woken back up, using over 20w before sleep then 5-8w in use after being woken up from sleep. I tried on the Dell...

    [Success] Lenovo ThinkPad L380 - OC - Monterey 12.3

Many thanks for your input utof! I never got round to doing any more testing unfortunately, a busy work schedule and two young children saw to that! In the mean time I got a great deal on a Dell Vostro 5481 on eBay (£131/$161) similar specs (14"/i5-8265U/8GB/256GB) My intention was to sell the...

    [Success] Lenovo ThinkPad L380 - OC - Monterey 12.3

At 1st boot my battery life is awful, if I put it to sleep and wake it up a few minutes later it gets better but never what you would call great! My battery has lost some of its original capacity tho.

How to dicover which mobo series my laptop is?!?

I think the '300 series' refers to the motherboard chipset, a google of HP Probook 440 G5 suggests the chipset is integrated into the CPU, I would deduce from this that the motherboard isn't any 'series' as such, but I don't know if this thinking is correct
