    Mavericks Hackintosh Freezes

It won't hurt to try, as you can always re install with multibeast. Be sure to rebuild the kextcache and repair permissions. As for my system, some tweaking seemed to work. Right now my setup is 1) GenericUSBXHCI.kext 2) XHCI and EHCI Hand-off enabled. Truthfully, I haven't used usb much...

    Mavericks Hackintosh Freezes

Well I have been playing around some more, and it seems that the XHCI and EHCI handoff settings in BIOS may have something to do with it right now. So the two configurations that I have tried are XHCI and EHCI Enabled in BIOS without GenericUSBXHCI, which has frozen once on me. And the other...

    Mavericks Hackintosh Freezes

Just adding to the known information. I have the same issue with my GA-Z87X-UD3H hack, freezing randomly and becoming completely unresponsive unless force rebooted. The screen seems to freeze, but the computer continues to run, fans and everything. I seem to notice the problem more when using...

    Sound Interruptions - OS X Mavericks ALC898, Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H

Thanks for the idea, but no go.... Line out (rear black and rear orange) works fine so I guess if I can just isolate the front audio jack then I do not have to bother with the rear green one.

    Sound Interruptions - OS X Mavericks ALC898, Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H

Yes it is. I have tried with the front panel plugged in and not plugged in, still the same issue with internal speakers switching to headphones for a split second as well. I have been thinking, I did buy a fairly cheap case, so maybe the front panel is just poor quality? Or AC'97. Is there...

    Sound Interruptions - OS X Mavericks ALC898, Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H

Thanks for the explanation, you may have seen my posts about the same issue on other threads. My only question is why the front green audio port does not work at all. I understand that the detection may be faulty, but when something is plugged into the front port, I should think it would work...

    Gigabyte 8-Series Motherboard UEFI Updates - 2014/03/19

Thanks for the suggestion, but that does not seem to be the case... F8 works well so I will probably stick to it.

    Mavericks: Native CPU/IGPU Power Management

I followed the guide and everything seems to work perfectly according to the Intel Power Widget, but AppleIntelCPUPowermanagementInfo.kext created a lot of other problems. I kept getting kernel panics and had to uninstall it, but for some reason, when I boot with kernel cache the system hangs...

    ALC887 "pops" in Mavericks 10.9.1

I don't have the same board, but I have been having a lot of popping noises too, as well as the headphone switching issue, try using the orange or black port (I think the DS3H has them)... Edit: My bad - It doesn't seem to have the other ports. Sorry! devdev001

I have to say that I like OS X Redwood or Yosemite the best. Or OS X Monterey.

    OS X 10.9.1 Update

Haswell build i7-4770 GA-Z87X-UD3H - all works as expected with audio reinstall. Still no full PM support and limited p-states... really confused about this.

    i7-4770 (Haswell) Speed Issue

Go to /System/Library/Extensions/ and see if there is a file called NullCPUPowerManagement.kext. Delete it and then run: sudo -s chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/ chmod -R 755/System/Library/Extensions/ touch /System/Library/Extensions/

    i7-4770 (Haswell) Speed Issue

If you are referring to the about this mac window, I have the same exact thing. What I was originally talking about was the actual speed at which the CPU runs. For me, it was stuck at 3.4 GHz, and turbo was not working. The 3.69Ghz you are seeing is just cosmetic if I understand correctly. I...

    i7-4770 (Haswell) Speed Issue

Thanks for this, I got turbo working. Sadly, the lower power states do not work... I downloaded ssdtPRGen.sh and used i7-4770 as my cpu. Then I copied the SSDT to /Extra. I also enabled it in org.chameleon.boot.plist. Any other ideas? devdev001

    i7-4770 (Haswell) Speed Issue

Hello, I have recently installed mavericks on my Hackintosh, and everything works, except for a problem with the cpu speed. It will only work at 3.4GHz or 800MHz. I would be grateful if someone could explain what this means and a way to fix it, if any. I have done some research, and to me it...
