I'm experiencing random freezes now, and they seem to be related to AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement. Something about No HPETs available, and CPUs configured incorrectly. I can't open MaciASL without it freezing, it usually happens within a few seconds after booting to the desktop.

I tried looking in the /System/Library/Extensions folder, but I can't seem to locate AppleHDA.kext. Is there any way this could have been deleted? I'm hoping I won't have to reinstall the system...

I ended up using the PS/2 kext included in MultiBeast, and it did the job. Is it possible to use VoodooHDA instead of patching my own AppleHDA kext? On this post, it explains how to patch AppleHDA, but says that VoodooHDA is a better solution.
