My version of Whatevergreen is 1.6.2, the latest, I use Headless mode for UHD 630 and don't use a special kext for my 5700 XT. I even have tested it with a 6600 XT and it makes no difference. As I stated earlier, it all happend after upgrade to 13.1. After reinstall to 13.0.1 the Default...
And after another reboot it was back. The solution would be using HDMI may be. Has DP oppotunities against HDMI?
Also HDMI only will fall back to Full HD as Loginscreen. So still searching for a solution to have 3840 x 2160 as Default resolution back in Monitor settings.
I have fixed it myself. Add a HDMI cable to your graphics card. Switch to it and set everything to expected resolution etc. Plug off the DP cable and switch the PC off. Start Computer with HDMI plugged in. Resolution was alright. Switch off PC. Disconnect HDMI and connect DP cable again. Turn on...
Since I did upgrade from Ventura 13.0.1 to macOS Ventura 13.1 the default resolution for my 4K monitor has changed to 1920x1080.
Also my loginscreen after Boot is now x2 larger, like indeed Full HD. I have already reinstalled 13.0.1 and after that everything has been back to the usual 4k...
I use both together. If use the Apple VT-d you should also use SSDT-DMAC and SSDT-DMAR in ACPI and drop the DMAR tables as @frontgear has described.
B.t.w does someone else also has a lower resolution login screen since the update to 13.1?
Updated without a problem. OC Mod 0.8.8. But also for me happend "OTA didn’t allow me to update further that it had to download the whole this time". Also I have an Apple directory in my EFI now after the update.
Ventura does not have that 210 kext anymore. Please read my post above (and try it yourself?). Also with id F3158086 it does not make a connection. But you will be able to find more about that in the forum.
Edit: Thank you @Middleman! I have found the solution you was trying to tell me.
The...
I did change the device-id to F3150000 which translates it to 0x15f3. At least it is stable that way. I have only 1 Gb switches and routers. I'm not sure it will ever allow 2,5 Gb speed.
And because there is no AppleIntelI210Ethernet kext in Ventura e1000=0 will not work any longer.
I have ordered this mainboard Asus TUF Gaming Z590 Plus WiFi too. Right now I'm preparing my OC EFI already for an easy start.
For the built-in Ethernet I225-V in Ventura I had to use:
DeviceProperties: PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1C,0x7)/Pci(0x0,0x0) -> device-id: F3150000
That is all you need. It...
SSDT-BRG.aml and CFG_USE_AGDC key using value of 01000000 (using DATA as type) did help me too. But I'm using my RX 590 again as it is less pain and enough for Youtube and browsing. I gave the RX 6600 XT to my son as he has more use for it. It has been a learning process for me again.
Thanks for reply. I have added it to another thread which is going about sleep and wake with kernel panic with a RX 6600 XT card. https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/success-amd-rx6000-series-working-in-macos.306736/post-2341864
I have bought an ASRock RX 6600 XT card as well and have kind of the same experience with it does sleep but wake with a black screen and a kernel panic. That has not happened with mu RX 590 which I use for years now. It seems that the card is sleeping better than the Mac, as in the kernel panic...
I have bought an ASRock RX 6600 XT Challenger Pro card. With iMac20,2 SMBIOS my my system does go to sleep but after a wake by keyboard it will do a reboot. Is that how those 6600 XT cards work in a hack? With my RX 590 I have never experienced that issue.
That sounds strange. When I did use iMacPro 1,1 there was no difference in CPU temps. Even the CPU idles @ 800MHz and not 1300 MHz which seems to be normal on a Mac but is too much for Intel specs. May be you made a mistake when editing your config.plist? Do you use plist editor or other OCC for...
