    Failure to create WAG kext

Here is the full command line I am using to compile without warnings (or errors ) % /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/usr/bin/xcodebuild -configuration Debug ARCHS=x86_64 --stdlib=libc++ Funny when I grep in the WhateverGreen repository I find: % grep -R ARCHS * |less...

    Failure to create WAG kext

Checked. It used to be ACID32 Architecture. I have changed all of these to Intel X64-bit architecture. The Xcode GUI now fails with: ld: warning: The i386 architecture is deprecated for macOS (remove from the Xcode build setting: ARCHS) Tried, unsuccessfully to find if there is a definition...

    Failure to create WAG kext

@jpz4085 Brilliant! I have a debug build, success! :headbang: I would why the default build config doesn't have the ARCHS defined by default? Am I the only person who's come across this?

    Failure to create WAG kext

Cause I'm a nerd wanting to know what I may be doing wrong I wanted the flexibility of self compiles, if I want to attempt supporting other AMD graphics cards Given the volume of responses to my question, you are likely correct in suggesting I follow the standard path.

    Failure to create WAG kext

@miliuco Hi, Not sure where to post this question, but since a google brought up your avator, I thought I would post it here, where you seem to be very active. I have followed (what I believe to be) your instructions at: https://github.com/acidanthera/bugtracker/issues/1913 When I get to...

    Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide]

Does anyone know of a M.2 or PCIE-x1 card that is natively compatible on OSX, and is Wifi 5 or 6 and BT 5.x compatible? I believe we have the Intel Wireless M.2 working on Wifi, but not it's BT i/f. Probably if any upgrade was available, I would have found it on this forum somewhere... :)...

    Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide]

I've had that problem since Big Sur. Nothing I've tried has fixed it. Am on latest Monterey now. I use Wifi using a M.2: BCM94360CS2. Wifi works fine, as does BT otherwise. Not much help I know.

    [HOW TO] OpenCore 0.7.8 > 0.7.9 differences

Figured it out. I believe. ;) My config.plist had the new driver, OpenLinuxBoot.efi , enabled in the Drivers section. I disabled it and the message has gone away. Also found, in the OC Multiboot Guide that enabling the Quark: HideAuxiliary is good to hide duplicate boot choices. As the...

    [HOW TO] OpenCore 0.7.8 > 0.7.9 differences

Finally got around to this: A video capture shows me the message is: LNX: AutodetectLinux not root fs - Not found Pretty innocuous imho. But something I would like to suppress in case in future it makes me ignore something I should pay attention to.

    [HOW TO] OpenCore 0.7.8 > 0.7.9 differences

I have successfully updated to 0.7.9, using the tool. But... On booting there is a OC message of one single line, flashed on the screen. Something with the word 'Linux' I believe in it. (There is no dual Linux boot on my system). It's there for 1/2 second and then the boot sequence...

    Help going to OC 0.7.8

@manolo2001 Try reading what happened in this thread: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/opencore-0-7-1-to-0-7-4-update-on-gigabyte-z97-gaming-mb-fails-on-big-sur-os-11-6-solved.317249/post-2292178 The OpenCore Guide was helpful in figuring out, and debugging the failure. Of course the...

SAMSUNG 970 Evo (2018 version) and TRIM

@atl285, Somewhere on this forum - maybe under Golden Builds - I read about a fix for Samsung SSD Trim and slow boot. Basically the fix requires one to create a partition that is 'free' of 10% or more of the size of your SSD. Once done, boot on Monterey is fixed, i.e. fast, and Trim remains...

    Asus Z590i Gaming Wifi w/ Thunderbolt 4 Hot Plug - i7-11700K Rocket Lake - 6800 XT

Hi, is this thread just on the Asus Z590-I, or have you transitioned the thread to Asus Z690-I ? I'm interested in a build on the ASUS Z690-I Gaming WiFi. Should I be following this thread, or another, and if so which? Should my build just follow the huge CaseySJ's Intel Alder Lake thread? If...

The New Beginner's Guide to USB Port Configuration

Understood. But FIRST don't I have to stop the rename of the EHC ports to EH01 and EH02, before using the SSDT-EHCx_OFF.aml ? Or can I leave the rename as is?

The New Beginner's Guide to USB Port Configuration

Hope this is the correct thread to post this to... This is in regard to my X97X-Gaming7 motherboard Hackintosh. I changed, some months ago, the model type from iMac15,1 to iMac16,1, so I wouldn't have any problems updating to Monterey 12.x. Currently I'm on OC 0.7.7 on this Hack as well. The...

    [HOW TO] OpenCore 0.7.6 > 0.7.7 differences

@P1LGRIM Thanks. I had expected the README.md to explain, or that downloading the sources would allow me to build it. None of which was proper. Solution: download the latest version with the installer: .dmg file type and copy to Applications, then use System Peferences -> Security to open.
