Tried changing monitor with a smaller 1050p and it does not show any defect.
I cannot afford to buy a new 27" just for this little bug.
Why does it show with this Gpu?
I tried upgrading to Clover 5115. No change.
I read something on the forum about monitors and cables, but I don't have many choices:
-I have no menu on the display - it's a Korean Crossover 27QP
-Can't try it HDMI or DP cables to DVI - passive converter cannot sustain 1440p resolution
Is there...
PROBLEM:
The mouse cursor is lagging in random patterns, like every 5-10 seconds.
I already tried changing the peripheral (both wired).
MY BUILD:

I have a MSI GTX 660 TWIN FROZR that worked for years on my system and needed some attention (some circuited capacitors to repair).
The GPU went on the technician's pc (but not tested with videogames- maybe it has a faulty ram that only clover will pick up)
It does not show DVI or HDMI anymore...
This GPU is making me insane.
I tried it on a friend's PC and it works.
I put in my hackintosh and it works!
The 2nd time I boot it never works again. Both with the big res monitor and the little one.
It could be the MB or PSU. But it does not make any sense.
Today I had again the same problem, will check for other hidden capacitors.
What is the best GPU choice for Sierra ? I think these should work OOB:
- GTX 660 Ti
- GTX 670
- GTX 760
- GTX 770
High tier (680, 780) are harder to find in good condition / good price
Yes I had a very similar system,
but I already tried to use the GPU with the smaller monitor and didn't work.
My uncle is skilled with electronics and found something:
2 capacitor short circuited and a burned conductive track.
He will try to repair them.
If he won't succeed, I will buy a used...
System details in my signature. Using Clover + Sierra 10.12.6.
So, yesterday my 1440p monitor failed to display anything at booting.
I thought my MSI Nvidia 660 was giving up.
No image using the intel 4000 internal gpu through HDMI.
I had to connect another smaller monitor to see something -...
I made the choice for an outdated kext because the other ones were failing:
no en0 or en1 were present. I did the reset with Kext Wizard.
But I tried once again version 2.2.1 , and after a couple of minutes it started working.
So my message for anyone reading is: let some time pass, be patient!
Internet is working great over ethernet. However,
I have one message every second that looks like this:
default 17:00:44.190288 +0100 kernel Ethernet [RealtekRTL8111]: checksums applied: 0x3, checksums valid: 0x0
I have a GA-H77N-WIFI Mobo and RealtekRTL8111.kext version 2.1.0d1
I installed Sierra on another SSD today. See my Personal Details.
It wasn't easy as usual: I had to reinstall kext files with Multibeast multiple times. Little by little ethernet, audio, big resolution got working. I also had a problem with the VRAM of my GPU, solved using InjectNVIDIA=no with...
