    IJskonijns Mac Pro 1.1 casemod - Ryzen 3600x + RTX2070S

Sounds good! Let me know if you need more inspirational pics. I'm also interested in the AIO. Let us know how that works out!

I think you mean the 1.1 and 2.1? Possibly also the 3.1? I agree because in my case, I'm just using 3x 120mm fans. In the front and in the back. Ideal, because you can get fans that size everywhere.

    IJskonijns Mac Pro 1.1 casemod - Ryzen 3600x + RTX2070S

@Laverda Sorry for my misleading information. The jack sensing in my build was based on these threads: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/home-brew-hd-front-panel-audio-without-the-hard-to-find-jacks.130264/...

    IJskonijns Mac Pro 1.1 casemod - Ryzen 3600x + RTX2070S

Now that I see the pinouts again, I need to correct my other posts about the jack sensing. The resistors in the picture are for the power led

Thank you! The links to wiring are here: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/neilharts-mac-pro-hack.28892/post-185303 https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/correction-to-aquamacs-macpro-front-panel-usb-wiring.59432/ https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/wiring-the-power-button-mac-pro-2006.184381/...

    IJskonijns Mac Pro 1.1 casemod - Ryzen 3600x + RTX2070S

We basically bypassed all of the mac sensing stuff and added our own with the resistors. So if you know the right pin and go to the last solder point before the jack, you can do the same

    IJskonijns Mac Pro 1.1 casemod - Ryzen 3600x + RTX2070S

Here are some pics of the board. Looks like the resistors combined are around 300 ohms. The last part of the original jack sensing stuff was some smd resistor. That was roasted in two with the soldering iron, so that the bridge is the only path to the jack plug. In short: the resistors go...

    IJskonijns Mac Pro 1.1 casemod - Ryzen 3600x + RTX2070S

We both are not exactly sure... But if memory serves it should be something like: Sense return goes through the jack plug and then via 2 resistors to ground. I think the 2 resistors together were 300 ohm. Also, we didn't use the original jack sensing stuff. That's why you see the resistors...

    IJskonijns Mac Pro 1.1 casemod - Ryzen 3600x + RTX2070S

My friend is like a wizard with that stuff. If I remember correctly, we used 2 resistors and a shorter path for that. (Also in the picture) I will ask him how it works.

The clean look was what I was going for, so thanks!! Yeah I love the HDD, had to have it  I have a M.2 SSD as a boot drive, that's good enough for now. When I need an extra SSD for gaming, I'll probably add one in one of the drive bays.

No, not at first. For now it's more of a gaming PC ;)

    IJskonijns Mac Pro 1.1 casemod - Ryzen 3600x + RTX2070S

After reading allmost all of the build threads here, I decided it was time to make my own and also share my adventure here. So here is my take on a Mac Pro casemod/build. Hope you guys like it! I know I do ;) TLDR; My goal was to create a stock looking Mac Pro build and grind as little as...

Thank you!!! Yes I know... But for the moment it's more a gaming setup, so maybe later I will change to something that supports macOS ;)

Nice! Now maybe my profile info with AMD stuff won't be removed

    Using existing sleds AND wiring

Yes, just get standard screws that are the same thread and they just screw into the original places! On my build, I added some washers between the connector and the brackets for the perfect height.
