Another suggestions I have is this guide. https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Desktop-Guide/extras/gpu-patches.html
This is an alternative to clover, has it's own config format structure, but you learn a lot from it.
I used it for my Catalina install, very well written, straight forward, up to...
Every time you boot, you must disable the Nvidia, and Nvidia web from the boot menu config. You have to do as many time as the machine reboots. You can't leave the machine unattended while it's installing. Also, set CSR to 0x0 (uncheck all options), again on every boot.
You can do all that...
I don't see your configuration, but I suspect you have Nvidia.
On the installation, every time you boot/reboot you have to disable Nvidia through Clover config- web_driver, and nvidia injects. That's in the graphic menu. If you don't want to do this on every reboot, set it before hand in Clover...
Before you install the WEB driver CSR should only enable NVRAM (System parameters), and make sure Inject NVIDIA, and Inject NVIDIA WEB are not checked under Graphics.
After you install the web driver, set CSR=x67, and check Inject NVIDIA, Inject NVIDIA Web
Change those on the boot options
Of course, I tried to only disconnect the power from the card, but it didn't work. Apparently, the BIOS still reports the card, because I could still see it in my browser from the BIOS. You need to physically remove the card from the slot, or if your BIOS allows it, disable it, so it is not seen...
I also just want to report physically removing NVidia card (GTX-1070) works to get pass the installation. Though, I had my own challenges with ACPI->DSDT's. I initially disabled all renamings, and after passing by the WindowServer and installation, I failed to boot. I mounted the Nvidia again...
I did not have the problem overnight.
The solution to freezing overnight is to disable hibernation:
$ sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 0
$ sudo pmset -a standby 0
$ sudo pmset -a autopoweroff 0
RehabMan pointed out that you should make the hibernatefile a directory to prevent writing to it, but in...
I had the hibernation = 0, but
standby = 1 and more importantly (I think)
autopoweroff = 1
/var/vm/sleepimage file was last updated around the time of last syslog message.
I disabled standby and autopoweroff and will see what happens overnight.
I used RehabMan installation guide (HackrNVMeFamily) to install Samsung 960 Evo Pro m.2 drive with no problem. Drive was seen and I carbon copied Sierra 12.5 on it, booting, working with no issues.
However, when I leave the system for a long time, say during the night, the computer freezes and...
The Latest NVidiaWeb works great with my GTX 1070
I'm still looking for help with my WiFi/Bluetooth M.2 card (7265NGW). My initial boot had the bluetooth recognized, so some of the initial USB drivers can recognize it, but after the Multibeast bluetooth is not available.
Can, somebody help...
You can do this from the Clover boot menu. Once you boot from your new disk, you can make those changes permanent.
Or, you can boot from the USB, and repeat the installation without the formatting, then make the changes after the Multibeast and before you first restart
Try the boot menu, it...
