Can't get USB Bluetooth working with 10.11 El Capitan

This sounds like far too much work for far too little gain, but I'm still interested in trying (unless, of course, I need to modify my Windows Bluetooth stack. I need that just the way it is). Would it be possible to get a list of instructions on how I would go about this method?

Can't get USB Bluetooth working with 10.11 El Capitan

I'm not ashamed to admit that I have no idea what you're talking about here. Would I need to uninstall the Toshiba drivers first, install the basic, standard set of drivers, and then reboot into OS X? Or am I thinking about this all wrong?

Can't get USB Bluetooth working with 10.11 El Capitan

Any idea why it worked before in Yosemite? At this point I'm just curious. If Bluetooth won't work, then it won't work. I at least can use it for Windows.

Can't get USB Bluetooth working with 10.11 El Capitan

The only driver it appears to be currently using is C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRIVERS\tosrfusb.sys, which is a Toshiba Bluetooth driver that I'm using to allow Wii U Pro Controllers to connect to my machine, as well as native support for Sony's PlayStation 4 controllers. That being said, when plugged...

Can't get USB Bluetooth working with 10.11 El Capitan

That's strange. Yeah, using the method you had helped me with prior worked in Yosemite worked with that adapter. I was under the impression that it would continue to work in future versions. Could I put my vendor/device IDs in a configuration file somewhere and test if that works?

Can't get USB Bluetooth working with 10.11 El Capitan

Update: 12/24/2015 I've tried installing this IOBluetoothFamily kext which is supposed to work with El Capitan in conjunction with the previously mentioned kexts with no avail. After taking the 10.11.2 update and this file, I still have no Bluetooth. The device is plugged into a USB 2.0 port...

Can't get USB Bluetooth working with 10.11 El Capitan

I have another thread about installing a BCM20702A0 USB Bluetooth adapter in OS X 10.10 Yosemite, but I'm having the exact same issue in 10.11 El Capitan after a clean install (I removed my OS X partition earlier this year, and now want to go back). In short, I'm running 10.11.1 (taking the...

[Q] Installing a BCM20702A0 USB Bluetooth adapter in OS X 10.10 Yosemite I see. I totally misinterpreted that. I opened Finder to /S/L/E and moved the previous kext to the trash, moved the BrcmPatchRAM.kext file to the desktop and performed the same steps as previously. Let's see if I can't...
