I bought a used 780ti card off a guy on Craigslist and swapped it out with the original card in my Hackintosh build-- GTX 560ti.
Originally was confronted by black screen after apple logo on boot. Restarted the machine using restart button and adjusted clover to set nv_disable=1. Boot from...
I'm having this same problem. I originally installed High Sierra fresh and everything seemed to be working ok, except I don't think Quartz graphics. So, I launched multibeast and made selections that seemed appropriate for my mobo (MSI Z77A-GD65). Now, I can't boot from my hard drive or from my...
Rumors are also speculating that the new iMac will use an AMD Zen processor. This could introduce much better Mac OS support for Hackintoshes built with AMD processors.
Warning to anybody who stumbles across this...
I installed this using a FreeDos boot USB drive. Installer completed and said to restart the computer to complete the bios upgrade process. After that restart, computer has never returned with a post no matter what I do. This was a stable system...
I have had some pretty good progress using no DSDT.
Because I'm on UEFI, am I supposed to be DSDT-free?
Also, having difficulty getting sound to work. Tried following Stork's guide, but he's using a DSDT. I am not.
If I do not boot with -x flag, I get to a grey screen with mouse pointer...
I agree there is some flakiness in this board. When I start it up, it will frequently get to the post screen, then reboot.
Update- I have pulled all the ram (Gskill RipJaws 16gb 12800) except for one stick. I was able to get Mavericks installed and use multibeast to install the bootloader...
Failure continues.
So, I had been pretty consistently able to boot off the Unibeast USB key this evening using:

Thanks everyone for the helpful support on this!!!
I'm not out of the woods, but I've made some progress.

I've seriously spent several weeks worth of late nights trying to get this system running on Mavericks. I previously was running Mountain Lion, but had disk failure, so I'm on a brand-new disk drive, but all other components the same.
I can't get this dang thing to boot.

Re: Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 10.7.3 update - no sound
I did a clean install of Mac OS X Lion on my rev 1.3 (bios 10) Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 motherboard. Used combo update from apple to push it to 10.7.3. I haven't had sound at any point. The motherboard is good because I previously was running...
