I am currently helping a friend out with his hackintosh. Originally he tried updating from 10.13.5 to 10.13.6 and the update would never finish. After booting into verbose mode, he was kextstalling on "Airport". I had him pull his wifi card out (yes he had a PCI one) and the kext...

Damn I see. So I'm not sure if I'll be going full vanilla then :P. But even if I'll decided to stick with that i9-12900K, macOS should work just fine? Any downside to using this processor? I guess it won't be recognised as i9-12900K but the performance should be great...
If you want a Vanilla installation then you need to look at the 400-series motherboards with a 10th Gen Intel CPU. As those were the last Intel chips/CPU's/IGPU's to be natively supported in macOS.
So a Z490 Motherboard with an i9-10900K CPU, would be best for native macOS support.
Hello! After booting from USB i have no "Install" option in Opencore Menu, only EFI and Reset NVRAM. All options in BIOS are ok. I've read all the tutorials, its not my first time installing Hackintosh, but I couldnt find the problem :(

I built my first Hackintosh quite a bit ago (and I'm still actively using it; Sandy Bridge i7-2700K and all), and I'm looking to get back into the game and build my second Hackintosh. After doing quite a bit of research on these threads, I think I have most of the compatible parts...

Your hardware is compatible with MacOS Big Sur. However, if you plan to install and run Big Sur you will most likely have to upgrade your bootloader. If you were using Clover to boot Mojave, you will have to switch to OpenCore or upgrade to Clover 5124 or later for booting Big Sur.
I just finished up my first Hackintosh build! Thankful for everyone on this forum for getting me here. I am experiencing a handful of issues I'd love to get some advice on:

Thank you for the great stuff. I download your Catalina EFI and used it as is but when macOS come up, the mouse and the keyboard are not working i.e. no cursor no keyboard response. Please shade some light. Thanks.
I don't like to be the one who says this, but someone has to... I had something extremely similar recently.
Because you've removed all possible add-ons and drives, reset the BIOS etc., etc., but you still can't even POST, your situation does sound the same.
My motherboard had become...
I recently moved, and when I got my Hackintosh set up again yesterday, it would not turn on. Whenever I try to turn it on, the case fans, CPU fan, and power supply fan repeatedly rev up and then turn off. The fans on my graphics card do not turn on, and I have no picture on my monitor (not even...
