hey @pastrychef - Thanks again for all your hard work on this golden build. It's been fantastic! I've been considering moving from Clover to Opencore. In your opinion is it worth it? Also what do I need to watch out for (what do you think the steps should be) to do the move.

the OctoTUF.mb is a Multi Beast config file - essentially you can load all the settings in multibeast by pressing the "load" button.

I had to do 3 things otherwise it didn't work for me: navigate to the directory in terminal containing config.plist copy the file to be merged into that directory run the command to merge also keep an eye on how the EFI was mounted - it changes the directory path: /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/ or...

Did you resolve the safe mode issue on next boot? I'm still trying to fix this

Hey - same thing happened to me when I borked the update to Clover! Just start from scratch its faster and easier. Previously, I had issues with DisplayPort blacking out unless I went back to an earlier SMBIOS. But the updated Clover and other driver changes seemed to have resolved that now!

Hi All (and @MacMan ) I've never been able to get the onboard Audio working on my MB in catalina. IT outputs fine via Displayport to the monitor but it doesn't even recognise speakers that are connected via the 3.5mm port. Has anyone else had these issues? How did you resolve?

Just a quick question - are you using a USB 2 port for the Install media or a USB 3? I made that mistake earlier on (not using a USB 2 port) which caused a fair bit of premature balding....

@MacMan I know that Displayport works on the earlier SMBIOS, any idea why it doesn't work on the later SMBIOS version and do you think we will get any performance issues if the HAckintosh thinks its older?

19,1 doesn’t work with DP. On some advice I switched to the Mac Pro late 2012 (12,1 or2?) and it all works again. Give it a try

Got some good advice to change the SMBIOS to a late 2012 Mac Pro to get DisplayPort working - all good now! Hopefully an update later will allow me to move to 19,1 again as the iMac Pro matches the specs better. If you don't care about DisplayPort - id stick with the 19,1. As far as updates...

Wow - thats going a long way back for my i9-9900 - I think I'll stick with the HDMI until @MacMan gets back from his Vacation! (I copied his build so he's likely to find a fix. Thanks for the help!

It's a great build! just make sure you use an HDMI connection at this point if installing Catalina - Displayport is a problem
