    Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide]

Thanks everyone! Yep, decided to ditch this adapter as it may be problematic. Will simply use ethernet over power line.

    Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide]

Thanks for all your help! I tried loading with bootargs brcmfx-driver=2 brcmfxdbg. I also tried brcmfx-driver=0 and 1. No changes. My Bluetooth is visible. However, Hackintool won't see any Wi-Fi signs under PCI devices. Log attached. Your pointers would be absolutely appreciated... Thanks!

    Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide]

Thank you very much, this is very helpful. I have connected the USB header, and now Bluetooth works - but not the Wi-Fi. I will try to configure the USB ports and will report back then.

    Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide]

They do look and feel a little bizarre and they won't stick. However, I don't think that this would be the main reason for the card to be undetected. If anything, I could solder these to the module?

    Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide]

W Would you mean the antenna connectors? They seem to fit but never "click in". The BCM chip fits into the slot perfectly, and the adapter fits into PCI slot perfectly, too

    Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide]

Hi all, I am experiencing an issue with BCM94360CS and PCI adapter. These are not detected in Hackintosh at all. I tried the lowest and second lowest PCI port with no luck. Additionally, I am unsure how to connect antennas to BCM as they wouldn't hold. I assume it would be dectable anyways...

    Gigabyte B550 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + AMD Ryzen 7 3700X + AMD RX 5600 XT

Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to test it on Gigabyte system as I have disassembled it. I would think that it is the case with high probability, based on the comparisons that I performed. However I haven't done the actual test, so if any other community members have the according devices...

    Gigabyte B550 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + AMD Ryzen 7 3700X + AMD RX 5600 XT

Hi all, Just wanted to update you on my Universal Audio story. Universal Audio Apollo X works flawlessly (TB3 unit), whereas UAD Satellite Quad or Octo stall the system and won't load plugins. Satellites are TB2. I tried to use a different motherboard (Gigabyte B550 instead of Asus B550-Tuf)...

    Gigabyte B550 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + AMD Ryzen 7 3700X + AMD RX 5600 XT

This is what I am considering doing right now, as this board has a built-in Thunderbolt operation. It also seems that someone from the thread has successfully used UAD with this board. I am cautious, though, and understand the risk.

    Gigabyte B550 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + AMD Ryzen 7 3700X + AMD RX 5600 XT

Thanks Casey! You've helped a lot, I really appreciate your time. Do you think that it could be worth switching to a different motherboard, i.e., Gigabyte Vision?

    Gigabyte B550 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + AMD Ryzen 7 3700X + AMD RX 5600 XT

Hi Casey, Thanks for this and apologies for not responding sooner, was swamped with studio work! I attach a table depicting my results. No luck as of yet. I experimented with many BIOS settings. My BIOS only has Thunderbolt Boot From TB Setting as Enabled or Disabled, no other options. All...

    Gigabyte B550 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + AMD Ryzen 7 3700X + AMD RX 5600 XT

Hi Casey, Thanks for your deeply thought points! 1. I've ran some tests with a single UAD Satellite Quad today. Another Satellite was left off. I did switch to Octo once to confirm that there is no difference between their behaviour. 2. Yes, the UAD devices are running the latest firmware...

    Gigabyte B550 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + AMD Ryzen 7 3700X + AMD RX 5600 XT

Hi Casey, Firstly thank you so much for your response, I couldn't appreciate it more. I've ran some extensive tests this morning, and here are the results: 1. If I connect just my UAD Apollo, it works reliably. Projects open, plugins load fully, and the authorisation update runs with no...

    Gigabyte B550 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + AMD Ryzen 7 3700X + AMD RX 5600 XT

Hey Dear Casey and the members of the community! I've been following these builds and especially Thunderbolt SSDTs for quite a while, and I would kindly ask for your help. I'm on Asus B550-Plus, Catalina, GC Alpine-Ridge (also tried ThunderboltEX3-TR with same results). I am experiencing an...

[In progress] SSDT for Thunderbolt 3 Hotplug

Hi Scott, Thank you so much for this advice. I've introduced these two SSDTs with a minor tweak (replaced DSB1 to X162), and the hotplug works! This is outstanding. My issue with Satellites is still persistent, unfortunately (UAD plugins won't load when Satellites are attached). I will spend...

[In progress] SSDT for Thunderbolt 3 Hotplug

Thank you Scott! Yes indeed, it isn't loaded. I assumed that I have to modify these paths first, according to what IOReg shows. I will try loading one of the SSDTs and will report back.

[In progress] SSDT for Thunderbolt 3 Hotplug

Hey guys, I have a specific question about writing a custom Thunderbolt SSDT, I hope that you could help me out please! I attach my IOReg screenshot. My Thunderbolt paths differ quite a bit from what has been reported in the thread. I am experiencing an issue with daisy chaining here, so I...

Thunderbolt Daisy-Chaining Doesn't Work. Catalina, Universal Audio

Hey all, So I've successfully swapped Asus ThunderboltEX3-TR to Gigabyte GC-Alpine Ridge. The card has been immediately recognised in Windows, as well as on Hackintosh Catalina. And I am experiencing exactly the same problem as before, my Apollo works flawlessly, but as soon as I add a...
