Updated to the latest VirtualSMC.efi and haven't had issues booting since.

My Mojave install boots up successfully only one out of three times. Have the 2018 model. Anyone else experiencing this? The ACPIBattery warning will keep printing when it fails to boot.

Confirmed that sleep will not work if discrete graphics are not disabled. I cannot say if it will work with the Nvidia web drivers installed though. Just a tip for those struggling with getting sleep working.

I'm on 1.06 and sleep was never an issue for me but maybe because I'm running mojave. Haven't booted into mac for awhile because my trackpad decided to stop working suddenly and I haven't had a chance to look into it.

I used disk utility to create a second ExFAT partition and then installed windows with an external drive. Works perfectly.

Looks like you have the 2017 blade which probably has a different I2C controller. You'll need to find out what that is for your laptop with IORegistryExplorer and make the changes vettz500 mentioned to the VoodooI2C.kext assuming it's compatible.

Thanks for the writeup @vettz500 Couple of things: -remove "[/LIST][/INDENT]" from the touchpad patch -should mention that fast boot and secure boot both need to be disabled

Updated to 10.14.1 with same results unfortunately.

Before you continue make sure you don't have the PM981 ssd drive in the machine. If so, you'll need to replace with a different model. There are compatibility issues with that drive and OSX.

Hi @nilhartman, are you sure you have a 2018 blade 15? The configs we're using are for the UHD 630 which is probably why it's not working for you. Also, clover won't generate a config.plist that's right for your machine. I hate break it to you but there's quite a bit of manual tuning involved...

Yup. I usually inject them for testing but eventually put them in LE after realizing AppleBacklightFixup needs Lilu and WhateverGreen there also.

Thanks for the tip. Two minor things I'm wondering if you're experiencing also: 1) my caps lock light doesn't come on 2) the ripple effect when adding a widget to the dashboard is corrupted 3) doesn't remember brightness settings Aside from those and the 3 minute bug, machine is running...

Hey @vettz500, yeah I thought Mojave was not affected by the bug and keep thinking it was a different problem. Brightness controls work finally but now I need to live with the black screen like the rest of you ;) Hopefully I can contribute in some way to finding a solution. Thanks!

Deleted. Thought the 3-minute bug did not apply to Mojave when in fact I was experiencing the whole time and thought it was a different issue. Brightness is working now.

Updated the profile. I wish it was the 3-minute bug but the machine is rebooting shortly after screen turns black.

@vettz500 do you have a working config.plist for Mojave? I'm just about there but having issues with getting backlight controls and sleep to work. I believe you said these two things were natively supported Mojave? The display will go blank once tries to enter sleep but within several seconds...

I believe the issues were exclusive to the PM981. Looks like people have been having success with both the 850 and 970 in Mojave on this forum.
