I tried a similiar approach for HD530 and my 980Ti.
I use HD530 as primary display to boot, using nv_disable=1, and in Windows I set to use only 980Ti (you can try to disable the device also, but in my case I had trouble to boot back on osx).
I manually switch form the monitor to DP (980ti) each...
I recently installed on a dedicated disk Mojave 10.14.5 on my rig (6700k, Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 5, HD530 + disable 980Ti).
I managed to let it work almost completely: HD530 works (HDMI only at the moment), audio works with ALChda, all usb port works (integrated + orico card)...
It's basically what I'm trying to do with HD530 and 980ti.
The first successfull attempt was to switch the igpu as primary, add nv_disable=1 to clover and inject Intel gpu.
This worked for me, but only with hdmi port (for some reason the integrated DP is black, and I would like to use it due to...
Same here with hd530.
Try hdmi if you have one (mine works). For hd630 you can boot in safe mode with nvidia and try to enable it using Multibeast.
I managed to enable mine by following whatevergreen guide here in this forum (and it works), but I’m still trying to enable also DisplayPort...
I made some improvements: following [Guide] Intel Framebuffer patching using WhateverGreen i was able to enable HD530 without injection, but I'm still able to use only HDMI (DP is always blacked out after boot).
Hello guys, it's a couple of weeks that I'm struggling to let my internal HD530 to works correctly alongside my nVidia card.
The actual situation
My build is based on a Skylake 6700k, on a Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 5, a Zotac 980Ti AMP extreme, 3 different SSD with High Sierra, Mojave...
I would like to upgrade one of my build to Mojave.
This build is based on EX-58UD5 and an i7 980x.
I currently have a gtx 480 on that build, but I'll swap to RX560 (or RX570) to be Mojave compliant.
Any one with gulftown processor already upgraded?
Do you see the thunderbolt port in About My Mac->System report?
Does your motherboard have native TB port or do you have an add-in card (in this case need to be supported by your motherboard)?
Is it working in the windows partition?
As far as I know, you need to enable it also on bios (try to...
Which System definition are you using?
Are you able to boot the system with -x?
You have to install nvidia web drivers to works with 9x0 and 1x00: be careful, because the installaton it's a little bit tricky with High Sierra, you have to work with CSR config at boot (you'll found pleny of guide...
I successfully installed High Sierra 10.13 (with security update) on a second NVME of my system (Gigabyte Z170X Gaming 5, i7 6700K, 980Ti).
After some trouble with Nvidia driver (solved following the post of FGRX9), now its fully working.
The only issue I have is related to shutdown: if I do it...
I was able to complete a fresh install (on NVME!) following the guide of FGRX8, even if I have a Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 5 and a 980Ti.
Worked like a charm!
I only need to install it again because I did some mess with the partitions and I don't like APFS... but this is another story
