    @CaseySJ I noticed something else after flashing the thunderbolt firmware: Netflix is working in Safari on my Samsung thunderbolt screen! Might be that the firmware mod also solves the DRM issue in this case/connection...

    @CaseySJ I tried to read the chip again this morning, and now it worked!! Did not do anything different, just figured to just give it one more try. Everything is working, hot pluggable! My QNAP is now recognized and the thunderbolt networking link is established! USB 3 over USB C also works...

    @CaseySJ - I am using the breadboard, 47uF capacitor and resistors from my Arduino Kit. The long leg of the capacitor is connected to the + and the short to the -. I did not have a 2K Ohm resistor so I serial connected two 1K Ohm resistors to get the 2K Ohm. - The plug from the power supply...

    Hello CaseySJ, Thank you very much for the excellent guides for the Designare Z390! I have been running mine for some while without any issues! I am also using a Samsung LC34J791 display with thunderbolt 3 connection, which is working great! My QNAP TVS-472XT won't connect using Thunderbolt...
