I would like to update my hackintosh to bring it up to speed and add the new features of el Capitan. My current build is running snow leopard and is comprised of the following:
GIGABYTE GA-Z68X-UD7-B3
Intel Core i7-2600K
GIGABYTE ATI Radeon HD6870
Corsair Vengeance Blue 16 GB DDR3 SDRAM

FIXED NOW
Turns out an installation of VMware was causing the delay. Got rid of VMWare, got rid of problem.
I have been living with this problem for a while, and I'm in the mood to try to do some more work. The issue that I have never been able to figure out occurs at Boot. Although my...
Any ideas from this? I have been looking everywhere and I can not find a way to fix this. I still get a long hang at a blue screen after the grey apple screen.
I am having this same issue with the spec listed below. My system will eventually boot without me doing anything after about 10 min. That is pretty inconvenient tho.
I have my system up and running except for the issue that I only have one option on my display settings for resolution, 1024x768. I am running on the GA-Z68-UD3H-B3 and hoping to get built in graphics to work. Processor is i5 3.3GHz with HDGraphics 3000. Any idea what is happening? Changing...
Or just hit shift repeatedly to stop it from auto booting than hit the arrow down key when your drive is highlighted. This will give you all the booting options.
Sometimes when I boot up my computer it will lag at the checking RAM part of the BIOS post screen for longer than usual and then not be able to load the bootloader. I then have to do a hard reset and it usually will boot after that. I though this was a problem with my bios but it is still...

my video card is AMD Radeon...
Re: Crashing at Boot, Can't even boot from iboot
System will now eventually boot up, but It will lag at a blue screen after the grey screen for around 10 minutes before showing the desktop. Any ideas what could be causing this?
I have gotten my system up and running well twice now only to have boot problems a few hours later. At this point I can not boot from harddrive or Iboot. When I try to boot from iboot, It will go through the grey screen and advance to a light blue screen and hang. When I try to boot from HDD...
Would it be worth it to try to instal a user dsdt from the database at this point instead of installing these patches? Would I have to start over or can I just instal the new dsdt via multibeast while my system is already up and running?
I have what seems to be a fully functioning hack but It will not shut down completely. When I shut down, OS X will shut down but the computer will remain on hanging. Any ideas? I have installed Ev0reboot and NullCPUpowermanagement.
