There was nothing in that drivers folder actually. I had to move everything over manually. Where are the new versions of apfsDriverLoader-64 and EmuVariableUefi? Would like to use those instead :).
My mistake, I think they are new versions. They were last updated in May and June 2019.
Booted up fine after copying all the files from my drivers64UEFI folder to the new drivers folder. There are still 3 files left in the drivers64UEFI folder after the installation (see attached screenshot) Should these be removed? Clover automatically created that new drivers folder so I just...
Hey everyone, just catching up. I'd like to update to the latest Clover version and start using VirtualSMC. However I've been reading that latest Clover breaks some stuff and the hack becomes unbootable (moves the drivers to a new folder).
I'm currently backing my system up, what should I know...
Hey @CaseySJ, do you recommend using the platform ID 0x3E980003 even if I'm rocking a 9700K? Everything seems to be working fine with the original untouched 0x3E910003. I didn't even set this, it just automatically applied it.
Enjoying catching up on this thread and reading about new discoveries. Just had two questions:
1) I unlocked the 0xE2 MSR register on my motherboard. Would it be okay to uncheck "PluginType" in Clover Configurator? What does PluginType do in our case?
2) Should we keep the...
@3Dman Do you have any tips on how to get that modified GRUB shell running? I've been trying and it won't boot from BIOS no matter what I do (put the EFI into boot folder, format USB drive to FAT32, EXFAT, etc). Any help is much appreciated!

Just catching up on a couple days worth of posts/following along. If we're successfully able to unlock MSR 0xE2 on the Gigabyte Z390 Designare, what would be the immediate benefit?
If I understand correctly, we could then enable VT-d and remove dart=0? Which kexts...
Ah I see, that makes a lot of sense then. With the SSDT, VideoProc would be prioritizing the RX580 instead of the UHD630.
I think I'll try running without the SSDT for now, and if things get wonky I'll add the V2 one back in. Thanks for your help.
Ah that's my mistake. I was under the assumption that the menu would show up regardless if I had an Apple TV connected or not (I have one, it's just sitting in my closet right now). Thought I read somewhere that it was a good indicator towards a fully working system. My bad!
I haven't been experiencing any weird finder issues at all, so it must have been an anomaly.
Recently, I switched to the special 10.14.4 build and iMac 19.1 SMBIOS. While I totally understand that you can't provide support for switching to a different SMBIOS, I just wanted to...
Attached is my EFI folder with serial numbers removed. I originally followed this guide: [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580 which is based around the mac mini 8.1 configuration. Decided to try iMac 19.1 because I felt it would be a better fit. Hopefully the...
