    macOS 10.13.5 Update

    > apfs.efi- Can someone explain when I would need to copy this file over? I have upgraded just fine many times without doing this? And why is there a version stored here and the instructions say to copy it from the updates system? I am a bit confused and could use some guidance thanks.

    macOS 10.13.2 Supplemental Update

Ok a got around it. Here is what I ran into and how I fixed it: 1. Stuck at 80% of the boot cycle 2. After that I got a screen with " MacOS could not be installed on you computer" ".....IOSInstall.mpkg... appears to be missing ..." 3. Unable to mount /Volumes/EFI.... to install fakeSMC kext as...

    macOS 10.13.2 Supplemental Update

Struggling with this update. I waited until the Nvidia drivers (1050 TI) were available. I just updated and a normal boot after the boot hangs near the end. So I am booting in safe mode and that succeeds and I think I need to mount /Volumes/EFI to put fakeSMC in place as per instructions in the...

I have 2 related/similar issues with my fresh High Sierra install and I am wondering if it is related to why this thread was started. I could use some guidance. I get an error (that flashes quickly, see image) and then 2 entries I cannot place. Looks like they have something to do with how High...

NVIDIA Releases Alternate Graphics Drivers for macOS High Sierra 10.13.2 (378.10.10.10.25)

I have High Sierra working with a GTX 1050 but without using, Emulated NVRAM, if it works do I need to go back and enable this? My only side effect is unexplained hangs (looks like they happen under heavy load only) that I didn't have on a Sierra installation. Unsure if it related.

Hi @2cold4u , I remember that being an issue but I found a way to acknowledge them and still compile. I cannot recall what I had to do but I did not change any code.

@Tmpdmp I don't the root cause of this. I just noticed the benchmark results to be a lot slower then when unchecked. So I thought I'd point it out when running into it.

@kungenihyddan you are almost there. You have to modify the CodecCommander Kext before moving it into place with KextBeast. I have it on the desktop then edit the Info.plist file inside the condeccommander kext package. (Use a terminal cd into it etc). Inside the Info.plist file you find the...

Quick Guide to Generate a SSDT for CPU Power Management

The are like the ones I get with the same processor and they seem to work. Having said that I do not see a lot of difference between not putting it in place. My CPU goes nicely to 4200 regardless. But with or without these setting I never see lower then 1.5 Ghz and the cpu could be throttling...
