    [Guide] Fanless mini Mojave: i5-8600 | Gigabyte Z370N WiFi | Intel HD630

Not expected! Should work fine. How did you install? Did you follow the sequence of build steps? Or did you just use the posted /EFI? If you followed steps, consider checking/repeating step 6 of the install sequence. Basically make sure the USB SSDT is installed properly on the EFI partition...

    [Guide] Fanless mini Mojave: i5-8600 | Gigabyte Z370N WiFi | Intel HD630

If the USB stick is USB3 you can get the "no entry" sign failure. Instead try a USB2 stick and it should boot okay. My method is to install from Unibeast as per the instructions on this site, and then copy the EFI folder onto the hard drive. You do need to mount both drives (/EFI and /EFI2) so...

    [Guide] Fanless mini Mojave: i5-8600 | Gigabyte Z370N WiFi | Intel HD630

I ordered BCM94360CS2 plus an adaptor (NGFF M.2 key A/E connector) for the M2 slot (below). I saw that @b166ar chose these and they also worked fine for me...

    [Guide] Fanless mini Mojave: i5-8600 | Gigabyte Z370N WiFi | Intel HD630

Correct! Sorry for slow reply. When I first posted the SSDT, I used an external USB BT adaptor, and I had no internal port defined. Now I have the internal card. The BT on it did *not* work at first until I identified it, using RehabMan's giude to seeing all ports. Turned out to be HS10. So...

    [Guide] Fanless mini Mojave: i5-8600 | Gigabyte Z370N WiFi | Intel HD630

Okay, thanks. Although same 500mA coming from the front USB on my Samsung phone. Anyway I don't mind, it was the chap in the other thread who wanted to charge his iphone faster.

[Solved] USB 3.0 ports running at USB 2.0 speeds

Answering as best I can. Always hoping to learn. Over 15 total is a problem. Basically you need to comment out of your SSDT source the ports you can live without. For a commented out port, remove both USB2 & 3 for those ports. If you have more than 15 ports they may or may not work, or may...

    [Success] b1's "Mac Mini Killer" with macOS Mojave: i7-8700 | Gigabyte Z370N | RX560 | 16GB RAM

I agree. Type-C is supposed to share significant power between devices. TBH I wish our m/b had TB3 equivalent (USB3.1 Gen2) which is much more powerful. The Z370M-ITX/ac does have these ports. There was a discussion about it being a better Hack for Mac Mini for this reason.

    [Success] b1's "Mac Mini Killer" with macOS Mojave: i7-8700 | Gigabyte Z370N | RX560 | 16GB RAM

After more investigation ... in SI with my Android in the front (Type-A) port, it shows only 500mA available. Same as your iPhone. The phone reports the same/similar charging. (As above, using the Type-C port, I get ~1A charging. But it does not show up in SI). Now in SI with an external hard...

    [Success] b1's "Mac Mini Killer" with macOS Mojave: i7-8700 | Gigabyte Z370N | RX560 | 16GB RAM

I'm sorry to see that  Here's a free app "Ampere" showing my Samsung plugged into the USB3.1 Type-A on the front: And here it is plugged into the Type-C: The current varied a fair bit on both, but was more than double with the Type-C (and more than your 450mA). All I can find...

    [Success] b1's "Mac Mini Killer" with macOS Mojave: i7-8700 | Gigabyte Z370N | RX560 | 16GB RAM

But not on the Type-C port, yes? At least that is what I found by trying: So either a Type-C->your phone cable is needed or a Type-C->A adaptor is needed.

    [Guide] Fanless mini Mojave: i5-8600 | Gigabyte Z370N WiFi | Intel HD630

So I've looked into the IORegistry and that's where the display ports (and all IO devices) are defined. Mine currently now has 2 devices (DP and one HDMI I imagine). Prior to your recent fix, I guess was only one device, a single HDMI. So your patches now define all 3 display devices, it seems...

Might be your BT device. First I had a dongle that was okay but poor with BT audio. Switched to an ex-mac air card, which is better. Your mouse should be okay with any BT. Yes, I just updated to 10.14.2. All good.

Great. If you can also post a diff from before to see what you did this time, that'd be good. Agree it is continuous. A lot of fun, maybe too much fun! I am supposed to be using my computer for work as well as play. And I agree with knowing what is happening. I decided not to simply install...

    [Guide] Fanless mini Mojave: i5-8600 | Gigabyte Z370N WiFi | Intel HD630

Note sure if you saw the recent posts, but @Rajkhand's suggestions fix DP. I've updated my EFI/LE files if you haven't fixed already.

Okay. I left the USB SSDT in place but I changed the framebuffer stuff in Devices->Properties->Devices/Properties Key as you suggested. Now DP works properly and booting is smoother without any graphics flashing artefacts. Thanks! Main guide updated to reflect this.

Agree. If you are using internal airflow then you need a tall case so the hot air rises up like a chimney. Seems people want cases to be small/efficient/neat. Mine is only a bit bigger in area than the mini-ITX it holds, but it has about 10 cms tall heat fins on one side. Speaking of small ...
