Trackpad working after I2C kext installation but not recognized by system preference (right click not working)

you may have forgotten to install "Satellite kexts" together with VoodooI2C. See here: https://github.com/alexandred/VoodooI2C and https://voodooi2c.github.io/ also, you need to remove incompatible kexts in System/Library/Extension for VoodooI2C to work properly. Using terminal type these...

Mojave install panic on Dell XPS 9570 with Samsung MZVLB512HAJQ (PM981)

i based on what you said, i guess you have to do the install quickly and continously move the cursor the entire time to keep your hack awake and not idle? and you have to do tests of the ways to get your ssd working :) or buy a new one :) good luck :)

Mojave install panic on Dell XPS 9570 with Samsung MZVLB512HAJQ (PM981)

are you aware that the MacOS Mojave install normally reboots multiple times while installing and you just have to keep on selecting "Boot MacOS Install from (your Hard Drive name)" until the installer finishes and then you will select "Boot MacOs from (your Hard Drive name)? just checking.

    Mojave Updates

What I think you can do is make a backup first of all of your files and try this: APFS has already been updated to work with HDDs. I am using a 5400 RPM HDD and Mojave in APFS is even faster in it than the Windows 10 Home that came with my laptop. Good luck.

XPS 9575 Cannot Boot into Installer

from my understanding of what you said, your keyboard is functional only until you click on the trackpad. have you been able to get past the installer? if not, then try going through the installer using just the keyboard. press Enter or Space Bar (if Enter does not work) to select things, Tab...

    [Dell Vostro 3558]Mojave 10.14.1 Realtek ALC 255 No audio/Synaptics I2C Touchpad

make sure that your Whatevergreen config.plist is from Rehabman here: https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Clover-Laptop-Config. I always use his config.plist and it works super perfect for me. Also, whenever you make changes (adding files and deleting files) in Library/Extensions or...

    [Dell Vostro 3558]Mojave 10.14.1 Realtek ALC 255 No audio/Synaptics I2C Touchpad

i had problems without Codec Commander. i forgot what they were though because since i have been using Codec Commander a few months back, i don't have any problems anymore and my hackintosh is working perfectly.. i think it was a problem with my headphone jack that Codec Commander fixed.

    [Dell Vostro 3558]Mojave 10.14.1 Realtek ALC 255 No audio/Synaptics I2C Touchpad

I have the same audio (ALC 255) try this: 1. revert back your AppleHDA.kext in System/Library/Extensions to its original unpatched version from Apple. you can do that by 2 ways: download the original unpatched AppleHDA.kext of the version of MacOS Mojave you have somewhere on the internet or...

    Very Hot USB 3 port

I see. any usb even my external HD, and my clover usb gets very hot. and you can really tell the difference when i plug them in the USB 2.0 port. The reason why i am using a USB wifi is because i just bought my laptop last year and it still is under warranty. I just contacted Acer and they told...

    Very Hot USB 3 port

i did everything in balazs631's post in the guide and there certainly was improvement (like my USBs are not as hot as they were before, but they are still hot) but my USB3 port is still hotter than in Windows 10 when i dual boot. I have not tried testing the usb2 ports yet if they are similar or...

[solved] Color Banding Issue/16 bit depth issue

i used SKL Spoof with Lilu+AppleALC+Whatevergreen and rehabman's SKL Spoof Whatevergreen config.plist indicated here: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/. I don't have time to test new fixes. sorry.

    Very Hot USB 3 port

this is what i implemented in the guide: "Insuring AppleBusPowerController loads If you have an Embedded Controller (most laptops, some desktops), you can simply make sure the ACPI device is named EC. This is easily accomplished with a ACPI hotpatch in config.plist. I have added both the...

    Very Hot USB 3 port

i think from the last few latest updates of Mojave, i noticed that whenever i plug in a USB in my USB 3 port, it gets really really hot very very quickly like just a few seconds. My Sandisk ultra fit 3.0 USB after a few seconds in the USB 3 port, you can't even touch it because it's so hot. But...

    [solved] ACPI error loop

so far i am no longer getting the ACPI error loop without that brightness keys patch from High Sierra. I have also updated MacOS from start to finish without any errors. Before, when i update MacOS, i couldn't boot to MacOS right after the update because of the ACPI error loop. Now it's gone. So...

    [solved] ACPI error loop

i see. i did not know that. maybe that is even more reason that the patch is what's causing the ACPI error loop because it's incompatible. ApplePS2SmartTouchPad no longer works in Mojave as well. So I switched to VoodooI2c. Can I do the brightness keys remap using Voodoops2controller to my left...

    [solved] ACPI error loop

i just saw my brightness keys patch and our conversation we had about it in this thread --- https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/solved-remapping-brightness-keys.238565/ --- it includes you saying something about "EC". Maybe that is the cause of the ACPI error loop problem that i am getting? when...

    [solved] ACPI error loop

maybe it is because I booted with my patched DSDT before I extracted those DSDTs? Like how MaciASL opens with the patched system DSDT rather than the original one? i attached the output of iasl in terminal when i decompiled right after i rebooted without a patched DSDT (i deleted my patched...
