[SOLVED] Multibeast doesn't appear to do anything? no bootloader at all, no drivers (sound etc)

NEVER MIND I FIXED IT!! Ahem. I re-booted via the Usb stick, ran the Multibeast again, and it booted perfectly. All I had to do was select the right drivers until I got the sound working. Hallelujah. I guess Catalina didn't like that version of Clover I updated to whilst trying to fix the boor...

[SOLVED] Multibeast doesn't appear to do anything? no bootloader at all, no drivers (sound etc)

My first reaction to your comment was "I've done that!". But I then I thought I'll look in the UEFI(bios) settings once again anyway. and lo and behold I saw there were additional menu options under the main boot priority order list, one of them being UEFI priority. So I entered the MacOSX drive...

[SOLVED] Multibeast doesn't appear to do anything? no bootloader at all, no drivers (sound etc)

I've tried reinstalling Clover on the Mac SSD with various different methods, used the Hackintool and the Clover configurator to check settings and modify etc. But I guess for one reason or another it's just not being "seen" as bootable, and until it is I can't get the kexts/drivers to work! I...

macOS 10.15 Catalina: How to Mount Root Partition Read/Write for Post-Installation

I've got a currently ongoing problem with Catalina MultiBeast post-install not having any effect. MultiBeast says installation has been successful, but when I reboot, I just get a black screen with the text "B1InitializeLibrary failed 0xc00000bb", and that's it. I can boot into Catalina via the...

[SOLVED] Multibeast doesn't appear to do anything? no bootloader at all, no drivers (sound etc)

Bump.. I can see that the Clover folder was installed in EFI on the MacOSX disk, so I guess Multibeast did do something, it's just that it's not had any working effect on the installation. So I guess I need to modify it?

A long overdue upgrade.. please help - Is Catalina possible with my mobo/cpu?

Thanks for your response. I have backup image of the Sierra drive which I've used to restore it several times when encountering problems previously to get it running again, so I've no worries about that. Music software is Logic Pro, Mainstage 3, etc. So it was needing updating/upgrading, and I...

[SOLVED] Multibeast doesn't appear to do anything? no bootloader at all, no drivers (sound etc)

So I've performed a fresh install of Catalina 10.15.7 in order to update my very old Hackintosh build (its been running Sierra for years), and the installation seemed to work pretty well (following the guide to the letter of course :geek:), until time came to cut the USB boot umbilical. I ran...

A long overdue upgrade.. please help - Is Catalina possible with my mobo/cpu?

Thanks for your reply. I was only considering the cards that are listed on this site as recommended, naturally I was thinking of going for the Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT OC 8GB seeing as that's top spec, so that should be fine right? I want it to last a long time hah. Are you sure I'll be able...

A long overdue upgrade.. please help - Is Catalina possible with my mobo/cpu?

So I've been running a dual boot Sierra build for many years now, happily. But my graphics card has reached it's limit and needs to be retired for a new model if I'm to continue to play new games on Win10. I've been far too afraid to touch the MacOSX side of things for fear of breaking the whole...

installed 10.6.8, what update to do now?

I am struggling to get my Hackintosh to work, I was running a Yosemite build without any issues for the last two years and it suddenly completely failed on me and I was forced to start over from my Snow Leopard DVD. When it came to updating back to Yosemite, it's given me nothing but problems...

Yosemite/Win7 Hackintosh suddenly won't boot MacOSX or show Win7 as a boot option - help!!

Thankyou very much for replying to my post. What you suggested didn't work, but I appreciate your contribution. I've had to bite the bullet and reinstall Snow Leopard on the SSD and start the process all over again. I've unplugged both the other internal drives for now until this is all sorted...

Yosemite/Win7 Hackintosh suddenly won't boot MacOSX or show Win7 as a boot option - help!!

I've been running a stable multi-boot build for a couple of years with basically no problems, and then on the early evening of New Years eve it suddenly started refusing to boot the way it has reliably been doing, for no apparent reason. Seriously, I've done nothing, no changes to startup...

[SOLVED] "Unapproved Caller: SecurityAgent may only be invoked by Apple software"

"Unapproved Caller: SecurityAgent may only be invoked by Apple software" Well it turns out that if I swap the SATA cables over between my two SSD's, then it clears the problem. So the problem was simply a bad cable, nothing complicated in the software at all. How embarrassing... :banghead:

[SOLVED] "Unapproved Caller: SecurityAgent may only be invoked by Apple software"

"Unapproved Caller: SecurityAgent may only be invoked by Apple software" I did in fact google the problem before I posted here. I am worried that implementing a fix that was only intended for true Apple mac machines would screw up my machine seeing as the multibeast bootloader is installed on...

[SOLVED] "Unapproved Caller: SecurityAgent may only be invoked by Apple software"

Hello, first of all I'd like to remark what an excellent forum and resource this website is. December last year I used this website to build my first desktop computer (I've had a few laptops and a 2007 iMac over the years but never a tower machine). I now have a dual boot machine with Mac OSX...
