[INFO] ASUS ROG STRIX G531GT bios mod and hackintosh Mojave and/or Catalina install

I did that only I didn't upgrade Big Sur, but installed it on another partition. That's where I got the error in the first picture

You don't have it with you or you don't have it anymore? I didn't remove any kexts if that's what you think. If it's meant as advice I could test that.

[INFO] ASUS ROG STRIX G531GT bios mod and hackintosh Mojave and/or Catalina install

I tried to use the installer this time. It's stuck in a loop of this text. Did you get the same error?

[INFO] ASUS ROG STRIX G531GT bios mod and hackintosh Mojave and/or Catalina install

I tried multiple times starting it. I used the installer in Big Sur and installed on a seperated partition. Or am I supposed to start Big Sur after installing..? I started using the new partition.

[INFO] ASUS ROG STRIX G531GT bios mod and hackintosh Mojave and/or Catalina install

You said in your update (the first post) that it doesn't boot to "graphical mode". Do you know why it doesn't boot? (could be a stupid question but knowing the reason why it doesn't boot doesn't always give a solution)

[INFO] ASUS ROG STRIX G531GT bios mod and hackintosh Mojave and/or Catalina install

What do you mean with graphical mode? It doesn't reach the desktop? I partitioned my HDD and will test Monterey. I'm curious what's changed and just to try it. If I use the installer, does it install? Or do you mean you can't get to the GUI of the installer?

[TOOL] Virtual Bios Mod without flashing

Looks promising. Progress very slow. Update: update successful! Version 307.

Well it doesn't recognize the battery. I'll put everything together again (disconnected CMOS battery that might be it, NVMe drive and Wi-Fi card to be able to get easier to the battery) also, it now always boots to EZ Flash. Again, at least something.

Wait. I got something. Check system power error. Please check battery is connected and remaining capacity is more than 20%. If I'm right it's more than 20% and battery is connected.

[TOOL] Virtual Bios Mod without flashing

I got in the BIOS recovery mode or so. Got into EZ Flash. Shuts down after I select the BIOS file... Just like when flashing before. It restarted and now is in EZ Flash again. Strange, but at least something. Update: selected file again and again shut down.

[TOOL] Virtual Bios Mod without flashing

Nothing... I don't have a flasher. Of course I have backups, but they're useless now. The thing is, it happened during an official update. I did nothing. (literally, I was just watching) I'll try to contact Asus, but they're asleep now (timezones).

[TOOL] Virtual Bios Mod without flashing

So I had a BIOS update like an hour ago. It was at 0% when the laptop suddenly shut down, was connected to charger and all, just out of nowhere. Now it won't start anymore. Black screen and turning off after some time. Removed CMOS battery, battery, all. Nothing.

Also, 8 or 9 months later, I found out you need to enable the "High Performance" profile in Windows. I do recommend the charger but it will run at 4.2GHz and 4.5GHz boost so now and then.

[TOOL] Virtual Bios Mod without flashing

I installed the clean BIOS using Ezflash and dumped it with Intel's CSME tools (FPT) @serdeliuk I know, but I can't get any menu to unlock so if @letvinov28 sends the BIOS file I will look what he did, flash it and see which options work so I can try them with VBM. The modifications I did with...

[TOOL] Virtual Bios Mod without flashing

Sorry I only saw this post now, you were suspended. I will upload it in my next post, I also found a way myself, I don't know if it works neither do I have a flash programmer. I thought maybe we can inject the hidden menu's inside the normal BIOS instead of trying to get the hidden menu working...
