Make sure it is the newest SN850X. The SN850 is an older version that usually costs more too.
Update the firmware first after purchase as well.

The 1TB SN850X costs $20 less than the non-X version does on Amazon.com

Perfectly ok to use that drive. It is PCIe 4.0. If the price is similar though you could exchange it for the 850X model.
That has DRAM cache that helps improve the speed and durability over the longer term.

Well thanks alot guys I got the new NVME drive and installed/cloned it from my existing system NVME drive and now the machine boots in less than 15 seconds instead of several minutes. Legends thanks again.
