[SUCCESS] Dell Precision Tower 7910 * E5-2699V4 * RX5700XT * Opencore 0.8

would you mind giving me a rough guide on what you did? i have a cmp 5,1 i need to replace, and have two 7910's sitting in front of me. one with dual quad core xeon, and another with a single 18c and 40gb of ram. thanks!
Simple follow this guide :

The only thing you need taking care of is: DISABLE 4GB IO MAPPING FOR T7910.

For a weird reason, I must DISABLE 4GB IO MAPPING.
If you have boot-arg npci=0x2000 (typical solution to halts after "PCI Configuration begins", and typically required on Xeon-class systems), it activates "Above 4G decoding" anyway.

@twanhines , yes it works well on macOS Ventura 13.1
thanks u. your efi is helpful.
and I did install Ventura with 2 cpu and rx6600 successfully. currently my hackintosh's audio is not working. I try to follow the guide: https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Post-Install/universal/audio.html#finding-your-layout-id, but it is not successful:
the audio chip set is ACL3220, so I followed ACL 280's layout ids(layout 3, 4, 11, 13, 15, 16, 17, 18, 21) to try with alcid=xx. there is no lucky. Do you mind give any suggestion?

@grandleaf, thank u too. confirmed "DISABLE 4GB IO MAPPING" is important.

I use a USB spdif connected to my receiver.

If you also want to monitor the CPU utilization or temperature, please use FakeSMC3 with plugin. The VirtualSMC and SMCDellSensor is broken for T7910. You can see the CPU's utilisation but no temperature. To Make his worse, he SMCDellSensors also makes your audio stutter. No matter the audio is through the external USB interface or HDMI or DP. Switch to FakeSMC with plugins fixed the problem for me (just figured it out today!)

Seems to be working fine with Ventura on my T7810, still installing. Currently with dual E5-2683 v4 (16c/32t each).

This is an old EFI version that is not supported in Monterey/Ventura. You should try to use a new EFI as the link below which avoids kernel panic "non-monotonic time" during Monterey/Ventura booting.

Thank you for this. Sorry i didn't reply before now, i gave up and kept limping my macpro 5,1 along. but now its at the point where i have to replace it, so i'm back at it again. Thank you for the updates. have you tried upgrading to sonoma? i'm gathering a parts list for the T7910, and currently i have x2 e5-2630 v3 in it right now, and plan to buy 64gb of ram for now. Also would a rx 580 be a good choice for this machine on macos? i want to run video game emulators. thanks again.

@twanhines : Yes, I upgraded to Sonoma, but I encountered some issues with the wifi. As a result, I returned to Ventura, which is more stable connection on my system.

i bought a broadcom wifi/bluetooth mini pcie adapter that's suppose to work native in ventura and sonoma, which adapter did you use? also would i just copy that efi folder to a usb drive already outfitted with a macos installer? or would i need to create the installer with opencore then copy the efi folder over that i downloaded with all of the opencore settings for the t5810 i got from github?

Would you be able to share your efi folder? I tried the one linked and I get panic on cpu 16 and prt errors in verbose mode. the odd thing is that in the panic text file on the usb drive, it appears that the installer is referencing high sierra for some reason, even though the installer is for ventura.
