Grandy,
To make a USBPorts.kext, you can use Catalina or any previous version of Mac OS, including Sierra! I used High Sierra, and it worked fine. I think trs96 was just writing that you cannot use anything later than Catalina.

Not true. You can easily install it on the drive that has Monterey on it already. How many GB is the drive.
i cant do that because on that drive i have imported everything from sierra build and set everything up, it took more than i day to set everything and i dont want to do that again. i cant install catalina there as i dont have much free space left. nevermind, i will try to buy another drive just for that. i thought there is an option to edit usbports.kext without catalina.

ok will try that right now. but if need to change smbios than i wont mess with that and destroy sierra installation as its the only backup of data i have. i'm not that experienced to fix it if it gets broken. thanks anyway

Remember that when you make a USBPorts.kext that it will match whatever SMBIOS you have called out in your config.plist'PlatformInfo/Generic. If you then want to use the file on another computer with a different SMBIOS, it will have to be edited... and I'm not sure what all needs to be changed. More than just the system product name, I think. If you look at its info.plist, there is a "IOPCIPrimaryMatch" Value that is unique to the SMBIOS, a "IOProbeScore," and a "IOProviderClass" (at least). You can see those parameters in my file for iMac15,1 below.

If Grandy adds a new Volume, doesn't need to be a partition, to the Monterey Drive it adjusts the size as needed. Catalina will install on as little as 15GB of space. It's preferable to use Catalina and the same SMBIOS that Monterey will be using to make the USB Ports kext. That way he doesn't have to mess with his Sierra drive and potentially bork that. The Catalina volume can be easily deleted later on. As I said before, Grandy should follow the Utterdisbelief USB Ports guide 100% and it will work. This is about learning. Follow just one guide, all the way through step by step. Don't mix multiple guides together, it will just cause more confusion. Can't emphasize how important that is.

Here's my 11.22 GB Catalina Volume on a small drive where Big Sur is the main OS.

booted sierra, in hackintool-usb it shows the same as its in the other link (the guy with the same mobo) and i didnt need to change anything. exported kext, now i will boot monterey and load that kext. we will see what happens

What SMBIOS is the Sierra drive using ? It's not Macmini7,1 is it ?
nop but i changed its name inside plist, ok here is the update:
- loaded new usbports.kext
- on hackintool/tab when i click wipe and refresh i get the same configuration as it was on sierra
- when i go to hackintool/extensions i still cant see that it loaded usbports.kext is that normal?
- looking at this screenshot does it works now as it should be?

you need to understand that you're experienced user and i'm not. i change macos every 3-4 years and thats it, i'm a music producer not a hackintosh expert. i've had monterey for a past day and i even dont know how to add a new volume yet to install catalina on the same drive as monterey + it took me one whole day to import and set everything up from sierra and i dont want to mess that and do that again. i didnt knew that opencore exist until two days ago when i tried to install monterey. also i've never had catalina, i've never edited plist in my life until now, i didnt even knew that i needed to map usb ports and i discovered that by googling "why does my mouse lags when i plug in usb audio card" :) now imagine what reading dortania guide is to me :) i'm very thankful to you and other guys because you've been very helpful to me but you need to acknowledge that if i was advanced enough to set everything by myself i wouldnt ask for help in first place :) yet i live in a poor european country where we cant afford to have most recent hardware, few spare ssd's, hdd's, multiple graphic cards and i cant buy something just to make installation easier, if you know what i mean because english is not my native language.

Yes, it certainly does take a lot of time to learn this. I commend you for making the effort to try and get this to work.

I'd suggest you post in the official guide/thread by utterdisbelief. Tell him what you're attempting and get expert help there. https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/the-new-beginners-guide-to-usb-port-configuration.286553/
