SOLUTION: changing SMBIOS iMacPro1,1 to iMac19,1

Hi guys,

I thought updating Ventura was impossible using Clover because of Secureboot settings but I just noticed this post from a fellow member which states the update went fine:

Since I am also using Clover 5150 (iMacPro1,1) but cannot seem to find a way to contact that person does anyone have an idea what could be the issue at my end?
Thanks in advance!

Alright it seems iMacPro1,1 is the culprit. iMac19,1 works (tried at clover boot SMBIOS settings)
Is it ok to just change the Product Name from iMacPro1,1 to iMac19,1 in Clover or do I have to create a new one with new serials and all? Thanks!

do I have to create a new one with new serials and all? Thanks!
If you're going to use any Apple services, the System Serial should match an iMac19,1. Otherwise your AppleID could get red flagged. I would also generate a new SystemUUID and MLB at the same time.

Sign out of iCloud and all other Apple online services before making the change. Clear NVRAM after you make the change too.

Yeah I created a new sheet (cloverconfigurator) with serials, uuid, etc… just to make sure.
I knew about signing out but don’t know if I cleared NVRAM. All is well though on both Catalina and Ventura.
Thanks for the heads-up mate!
