macOS Ventura is Now Available From the Mac App Store

Super experimental setup. I really need a new graphic card. However, the graphic as it is works fine but I'm seeing glitches with some videos.

Yes, the last time Apple used a similar GPU was around 2013, and the latest native support for that was Catalina, I think. Although support is often extended a little, Ventura seems quite strict.

:)

- Ventura construction on CPU Sandy bridge 2600k (2011) on Asus P8Z68V-PRO.
I used my Monterey EFI OC 0.8.6 with some modifications.
- New installation on external HD.
- kext Cryptofix
- Because of the black screen, I added to my config.plist NVRAM boot arg : -amd_no_dgpu_accel

What works for now with the tests I've done:
- GPU graphics acceleration RX580, just applying the patch to work (open core legacy patcher).
-Network
-Audio
-CD/DVD
-USB

What does not work:
- (On-board Blouthouth doesn't work), I used TP-Link bluetooth stick
-USB 3.0

The tests continue... let's wait for better days...

Update done but ....

in my configuration I do have 2 disks one System and the second for data.
In my configuration the user account point to the second HD.
in such configuration I was unable to update from Monterey to Ventura, each time the update started the PC was rebooting few seconds after
So I decided to create a local user account for the update and Miracle it worked

I have the same CPU as you, overclocked to 4,7Ghz but using a Z68x-ud7-b3. I would recommend you to use a PCI-E FV-T919 (BCM94360CD). No drivers needed, continuity works, bluetooth works with big range distance and native functionality keys (i.e. Apple Keyboard) are recognised. Much better than a bluetooth stick (I tried many).

Upgrade went fine until final boot. Turned out to be the wireless driver. Upgraded it and worked without problems on HP Probook 8th gen laptop, Dell Inspiron 5482.
On Dell Precision 5520 it worked too, but some issues with rebooting, everytime at boot it shows that the OS was not closed properly. I also lost sleep on the 5520 - it reboots after sleep.
Also shutdown does a reboot instead of going off.
Tips are appreciated

I have the same issue on my 6700k build (and always had it) on Skylake, I just solved it by preventing the computer from sleeping (i.e., I either shut it down or leave it with screen locked).

Remember to tick the setting to prevent the computer from automatically sleeping when monitor is off.
Same for me. I stoped to worry about that a long time ago.

I have just realised that after applying the "GPU graphics acceleration RX580 path at open core legacy patcher", system updates (OTA) don't work any more.

No update 13.0.1 is visible, which means the update system is broken due to the changes SecureBootModel = Disabled & csr-active-config = "AwgAAA==" so it can boot after applying the open core legacy patch for the RX580.

The only solution that might work is this one: https://github.com/5T33Z0/OC-Little-Translated/tree/main/09_Board-ID_VMM-Spoof
Do you have the same issue? same SecureBootModel & CSR-ACTIVE-CONFIG? Did you find out any alternative to fix the OTA updates?

updates?
To upgrade to 13.0.1 you will have to download the full 12GB installer, do not forget to disable the card in config.plist NVRAM boot arg before restarting: -amd_no_dgpu_accel

For now, I don't recommend doing it, stay on 13.0 and wait for the legacy pacher 0.5.2 update
